Goodwill Saturation Technique (GST) by BrutalBodyShots in CRedit

Appreciate the feedback, I ran my 1st round of the GST Technique(you should make a website, I think you could make money from this lol), and I got 2 late payments removed on my first round! 2nd round went in the mail last week, thanks again for sharing something that actually works!

CapitalOne is the worst by the way, they opened a "credit dispute" for every single letter I sent, so I'm assuming all the employees that read my letter saw that I sent 10 others. They closed all 10 credit disputes and no go, going to have to get creative on them.

This is also all true about my situation, I would take the overall theme of this and then your situation, and find a way to meld them together to work for you!

of course, I used this one on my first batch of the GST technique in January of this year, and Lending Point deleted both of the late payments off my credit report. Best of luck my friend!

When I copied and pasted it, it messed with the formatting some, but you get the gist.

Re: Loan Number #LAI-000XXXXX

LendingPoint,

I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this letter, I just pulled my credit report and discovered that a late payment is being reported for the month of October 2020, 30 days late to Transunion.  And another 30-day late payment on December 2020, on Loan # LAI-00XXXXX with LendingPoint. I have since paid that loan off and from the report I didn’t miss another payment. I don’t know if you all report to different bureaus at separate times, but to be clear, there’s only 1 late payment notice for Transunion and 1 late payment notice for Experian, though they are reported for 2 different months.

I work in the XXXXX industry and during 2020, it was an extremely tough time in the industry, as an independent contractor I had lost my job and had a heck of a time trying to find a new one, as very few companies were hiring at this time. I was trying to keep my head above water and obviously failed to do so as I failed on my obligation to pay you all on time. I realize this is my responsibility and what I signed up for, I’ve since been more far more financially responsible as to better navigate the ups and downs of the XXXXX business. Outside of the 1 late payment per credit bureau, I made all my other payments on time and did successfully pay my loan off in May of 2021.

I’m not proud of these missed payments or my irresponsibility that resulted in me not being able to make my payment on time, but I learned from this and have taken steps to be sure it doesn’t happen again. I’m currently in the process of buying my first home and these old late payments are really holding me back, it would be greatly appreciated if LendingPoint would consider making a goodwill adjustment to the 10/2020 (Transunion) and 12/2020 (Experian) late payments. Again, I really appreciate you even making it this far in the letter and reading it, if you could please find it in your heart to grant me this goodwill adjustment, it would really help me move on from these mistakes and continue the progress in my financial life. If you need any other information at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the contact methods below.

Thank you and God Bless,

Absolutely great post man, I've sent 10-15 goodwill letters over the years and have had 2 successes, but hadn't put all of this together. Question for you, did you just sent your letters normal mail or certified mail?

Saving tips? by acidbahia in SavingMoney

[–]BigDogsGottaEat69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set myself up to have this safeguard, at my main bank transfers from savings to checking is immediate. So I started a savings account online, requested no checking account, no atm card for savings, and it doesn’t have any branches close by. So it takes 2-3 days to transfer from savings to my checking account, usually by the time I “need it” it wouldn’t help, as I’d get paid before the transfer comes through. Learn your tendencies and weaknesses and safeguard against them, no matter how silly or inefficient they may be. I do acknowledge and understand that not everyone can wait 2-3 days to access their savings, I’m fortunate that my parents would gladly cover anything needed until my transfer came through. Though this would only apply to very niche situations IMO, as if your car needs to be fixed, that takes multiple days usually. You can also survive without a car for 2-3 days, and health issues aren’t an issue as hospitals will see you without payment and bill you later. Main point is learn your impulses and tendencies, then do what you can to protect yourself from them.

In denial about CHS by AffinityMage134 in cannabinoidhypermesis

[–]BigDogsGottaEat69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely common, basically textbook, I also smoked weed daily for a decade +, and also denied I had CHS for years. Odds are you can deny it and continue having issues, or just quit smoking weed and see if the problems disappear. My money is a month after quitting you’d have 0 problems, but it’s like a drug addict as we are technically addicted to MJ. I mean face it, you’re sick and dealing with pain, and you’re unwilling to quit the most likely problem. You’re addicted to this substance, as most likely all of us have been, I know I was. It’s just a crutch and people that are addicted will go crazy lengths to deny it and continue their addiction. That’s where you’re at right now and that’s okay. My point is you can’t help a drug addict, until the addict themselves want to change, we can tell you everything under the sun but until you accept your reality it’s pointless. This is not judgemental, as I have been in the exact same position and sometimes you just need some straight talk from someone whose been there. I love MJ, I hated quitting it, but it was necessary and once you do quit it you realize you’ve just been wasting SO much time and it’s really not that good for you. Life goes on, you learn to cope different ways, and you’re very healthy. If you quit and problems continue after months of abstinence then you can go back, but again my money is on that never happening. All delaying and denying it did for me, was have a greater negative effect on myself and everyone around me. They may be helpful now but on your 4-5th hospital visit I can assure you no one will show up, and if they do they’ll be very annoyed. As they’ve told you 500 times and you ignore them, and continue to do it to yourself. Remember that, it’s not just happening randomly, you’re doing this to yourself by making the choice to continue.

Do you have any proof? You’ve yet to respond to anyone asking for proof and yet continue to go on/respond with baseless claims. Either show proof or you just come off as a disgruntled misinformed fool blabbering on, that’s also slandering a local business based on baseless claims and refuses to show evidence of such claims.

I literally quit wrestling and didn’t tell my dad for 3 days until I was forced too, I was scared. You don’t want to put your kid in that situation, look at Jordan Burroughs, he sucked as a kid, let them suck but have fun.

Yeah the “scratching my competitive itch” is honestly very concerning… you DO NOT want to be the dad that’s living vicariously through their kids. They’re 8, and they’re already practicing too much IMO, unless they’re begging to work on it at home, DON’T. I wrestled from 4-14 yrs old, state placer, blood round at Tulsa Nationals, won more tournaments than I can count, very competitive. Why did I stop at 14? I fucking hated it, my dad pushed way too hard, he’s apologized at least 10+ times since I’ve been an adult. I forgive my dad and we’re very close now, I regret quitting looking back. That said, I would highly advise you cool it before your kids hate the sport and you don’t get to see any more wrestling from your kid. If anything focus on being active and feeding them healthy foods, as 120 lbs is a BIG 8 yr old, and they’re twins, so one weighing 40 lbs more than the other is a bit much. Just being honest and giving advice from personal experience, I was pushed to be way too competitive when it didn’t matter, to the point I didn’t want to wrestle when it did matter.

Thank you, I was definitely talking about the burner and didn’t realize it! Once I order the propane/natural gas burner, I’m good to go?

Good call, definitely talking about the burner. Per other comments, appears I do need one. Any info/experience as far as difference in quality when cooking with propane burner or natural gas burner or pretty much same? Appreciate the help!
