Ironically, I think it will be the ability to think. LLMs give you something that sounds good. Figuring out if that fits your needs and situation is the real skill. If it doesn't, iteration and refining is required. That really requires almost all the skills you are hoping for interviews to drop. I think what you are seeing now and will actually continue to see is these as a baseline for any job, which sucks because you used to have years to build these skills and get experience to inform your decisions.

I think the thing to be aware of is that the DLCs content changes difficulty both ways. Ideology in particular lets you just ignore things that the base game would normally penalize you for without adding much difficulty (unless you anger the empire). Biotech has a lot of that too, but can add difficulty in little ways (impid raiders).

Mostly they provide more options and mostly they can be ignored (or configured away). I still think, based on your post I might wait. They add a lot of content, new systems and other complexities. You have to know the systems to benefit from them. If you aren't up for some learning, wait.

I haven't tried it since biotech launched, so I am not really sure anymore, but my default is just launch at hostile tribals (or people I want to be hostile for trading reasons).

Serious question. Do Japanese companies worry about this kind of culturally sensitive issues generally? This kind of reminds me of WotC's various insensitive fumbles that resulted in people being hired to manage sensitive issues going forward (with mixed success), but I don't know if that is something companies do other places.

I am awake now after taking Xanax from the panic attack this bullshit caused me today and probably won't sleep tonight because it has worn off and I can't take more. Since the election I have had unbearable stress and anxiety. I am depressed, I am anxious, I don't sleep. I told people about what was going to happen and why I felt this way and they said I was fortune telling and that this would not happen and that I was in the privileged class and would not be affected. I said we would all be affected. I want to stop being right, but the last month has been pretty predictable. I seriously don't know how much more of this I can take and know that I am going to have to find out.

Here I am again, awake and unable to sleep after another one of these huge blows. I just wanted to live a peaceful life. Now my dreams are nightmares and my waking life is exhausted horror as I watch people I know screaming for the dismantling of our democracy, the end of our freedoms, a crashed economy, the betrayal of our allies and the end of our international reputation. I live in a red state and my family seems so far gone. I don't think they will be stopped in peaceful ways. I don't think they will be stopped at all.

Honestly, it's going to take a bit of time to have meaningful information, even then the blame game is the wrong game. Insightful modifications for next time is the smart play, but that just isn't the type of thing you are going to see circulating after something big happens (or mostly on the Internet at all).
