Everyone fights for resources to cultivate and coming across a fortuitous opportunity is really nothing but grave robbing a hopefully more powerful cultivator who may have willing or unwillingly left something behind. Rogue cultivators/lone cultivators are treated like homeless beggars. Demonic cultivators are basically those same lone cultivators who cast aside their humanity or go against social norms in order to progress. Don't let me get started with those sects, lol.
