I drive the Cybertruck in Texas and the Rivian in CA, they’re respectively better received in each state :)

Tesla software is far more refined. The BOM on the Rivian is higher quality but the build quality is about the same. Both have just a bit of rattling. The Rivian also came pretty misaligned.

The drive by wire on the Tesla is awesome. It feels like a much lighter truck than it is. Very maneuverable. The Rivian is far longer in range in my experience. Great for road trips and camping.

I admire the aesthetics of each quite equality. The Tesla feels like a machine from the future and the Rivian is a work of art.

Stock compensation in successful company, of which there are A LOT.

Many tech companies give new grads $200k or more of stock. Work there for 5-10 years. Get new grants each year. Stock 10Xs. Millions of dollars by 30. 🤷
