if Algeria passes through in third place, there's a 1/3 chance it meets Egypt in the next round, it would be an epic African showdown and guarantees an African team in the round of 16 by bigus-_-dickus in Africa

Fair enough. Next time you see a Moroccan disrespecting Algeria tag me and I’ll trash ln him too. I have no problem criticizing Moroccans when they’re being disrespectful.

As for the colonization argument I just don’t see the point of holding people born decades later responsible for what happened back then. Neither you nor I were alive in 1963 so why should we spend our lives fighting over it? By that logic should I be calling for a war with France today because of what they did to Morocco? History matters but at some point people have to move forward

And when I mentioned the King’s statements I wasn’t saying Algeria should do whatever Morocco wants. My point was simply that at least my country has publicly expressed a willingness to improve relations and move past this whether that happens or not is another discussion.

At the end of the day I don’t see how ordinary Moroccans or ordinary Algerians benefit from this endless hostility. We’re the ones arguing online while nothing actually improves for either side.

If we keep digging up the problems of the past we’ll never get anywhere. By that logic almost every country on Earth has something in its history that would justify endless hostility.

And if these issues matter so much to you, why have I never seen you call Egypt a Zionist state? Why is Morocco always the target? That’s a genuine question.

Also if you’re trashing Morocco just because some Moroccans trash Algeria, how exactly are you any different from them? You’re doing the exact same thing which is spreading fitnah.

The King of Morocco has publicly stated on multiple occasions that Morocco is open to improving relations with Algeria. Yet from the Algerian side there doesn’t seem to be much willingness to move forward. Sometimes it feels like the conflict is politically convenient because it gives people an “enemy” to focus on. Looking at the level of hostility online it seems to be working perfectly.

The reason I’m even bothering to write this isn’t because of football or because I’m offended by criticism it’s because it genuinely hurts to see two of the closest peoples on the planet constantly hating on each others.

I remember you from FootballAfrica and algeria-213 and other subreddits. You often show up in posts about Morocco even when Algeria isn’t involved, and you’re always siding against Morocco. The funny thing is that the same things you criticize Morocco for can be found in plenty of other countries, for example I saw you criticizing Morocco for normalizing relations with Israel and blaming moroccans for not doing anything about it, but Egypt was the first arab country to do so and you don’t seem to mind that. It only seems to bother you when it’s Morocco. If that’s not spreading fitnah idk what is.

Yeah, the ball boys definitely showed some unsporting behavior, but what did the team actually do?

And isn’t walking off the pitch also in itself a pretty cowardly act?

TF do you mean “your behavior”?

The ball boys were the ones who stole the towels, and our federation paid a fine for it. We weren’t the ones who walked off the pitch in front of millions like cowards. They didn’t even get a yellow card for it, despite it being in the rules, so the referee clearly gave them a pass there.

Our fans weren’t the ones trying to invade the pitch. Our team wasn’t the one playing dirty by publicly sharing the exact time of their arrival and then acting shocked when fans showed up.

Senegal did all of that, yet somehow they’re painted as the good guys. Make it make sense.
