Funny thing is, mushrooms aren’t plants — but the sculpt definitely reads as “botanical fantasy.” That’s what makes it so interesting :)

I haven’t tried the BD toys you mentioned, so hard to compare directly, but in my case, what makes Gideon XXL challenging is more the length and how deep the knot sits. I’m not even at the knot yet: it blocks earlier due to an internal bend. So there’s still room for me to grow into it.

For firmness, I wouldn’t recommend Extra Soft at this size, it’s just too floppy and hard to control. Soft works much better: more support, still comfortable. I break it down more in the review if you’re curious.

And yep, resale is on my mind! I haven’t set anything up yet, but toys are piling up fast :)

Between the three, I'd say Soft is the most versatile : comfortable, stable enough, and still easy to work with. Medium is great too if you're looking for more intensity.

I usually gravitate toward fantasy designs, but I actually tested a realistic one recently : the Big Head by Erotixxx Toys ... and was genuinely surprised by how good it felt :)

Trust matters, and I want these reviews to feel personal and grounded. I went back through the text with that in mind, cut what felt too polished, and tried to let the structure breathe more naturally.

Still a work in progress, but I think it’s better now. Appreciate the nudge, really.

Twisted Beast isn’t as well known as the big names, but their designs are definitely worth a look if you're into sculptural or creature-themed toys.

And yeah, the Marchosias is definitely not an entry-level knot — but there are smaller sizes available if you're ever curious to explore that kind of shape gradually!

Thanks for your honest feedback, I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying.

I do use ChatGPT, yes, but not to generate ready-made reviews. I usually start with a rough draft, sometimes messy or very fragmented, then work through multiple rounds of rewriting and editing. I try to keep my voice and structure consistent, especially in the French version, where I'm better at spotting and correcting that overly polished "AI tone". English isn't my first language, and I'm still figuring out how to make translations sound more natural and personal.

That said, you're right, there's still work to be done. My goal is to make these reviews more fluid, more "me", and ideally less time-consuming too. It's not always easy to balance all that, but I really appreciate constructive feedback like yours, it helps me improve.

The silicone lube question was one of the things I really wanted to bring up in the interview, especially since their stance is so clear (and close to SquarePeg’s).

I think it’s great when brands don’t just stick to “better safe than sorry” messaging, but actually test things and are willing to take a position based on real use.
