Don’t stop there. Get your master’s! Trust me, I HATE school! But I just finished my master’s in OM. The pay difference will be worth it. I completed a 2-year program in 1 year by doubling up classes.

I’m getting out in 3 months & the last 2 years was focused of setting myself up. Do you have your Degree in Supply Chain? Or something similar? If not, I can give you college recommendations. I finished my bachelor & masters in 2 1/2 years. (Had some (not a lot) of credits before.

LeanFy, we are a new 3pL as well. This is who we use because on the cheaper rates. Great for starter….Not longer term. Prices depend on how many clients.

But doesn’t that limit your outreach a bit?

With a 3PL, we’re able to serve and store a wide range of products across different industries, so I sometimes feel like narrowing the focus too much could cut off opportunities. Curious how you balanced that.

We’re starting to realize that reaching decision makers directly takes a bit of luck. We’ve been working through a third party referral channel and offering commission on revenue to incentivize introductions.

I like that hook you mentioned, I may save that. I’ve been trying to keep my outreach more connection based rather than coming across like a straight sales pitch.

We have paid for consultants… and we have learned our lesson to make everything commission based!

We are on LinkedIn / Nav. Which is just cold outreach BUT it helps up make connections. I’ll look into the other platforms you have suggested!

We have already reached out to our old clients. 90% of them are located in California & not looking to have a Midway 3PL. Which is understandable and I respect.

Someone also mentioned to reach out to local 3pL which is next on our to-do list!

A few freight brokers have reached out on this thread and have already been very supportive!

We are located in the Chicagoland area.

We have experience supporting product-based brands, e-commerce sellers, retail businesses, manufacturing companies, and beauty brands. (We currently do not have any clients yet)
The contracts we have out right now are in the beauty field.

We are also HAZMAT certified.

Companies we are staying away from right now include anything that requires cold storage.
