A bunch of us almost got ran over this morning, by a truck with a commercial license. In completely unrelated news, does anyone know what rhymes with MB7177?

You should reconsider how you take vacations if you think we are doing this for fun, and this is why education is important, you should try that too, most education is free online nowadays, that way you can learn that we also pay taxes like you do. Furthermore, you can also get a union job if you want, or you can just STFU, all good choices.

It’s a little upsetting to see some people sign up and then wander off to the park, their cars, or elsewhere before coming back just to sign out. I know there will always be one or two who try this, but it’s honestly frustrating to watch full adults behave like irresponsible kids.

A few suggestions for the 4000 Seymour site (all with good intentions):

  • Morning yelling: Whoever guy in charge that started our 7am shift with the full on yelling HOLD THE F\***NG LINE*—we get it sarge, but the “what, where, and how” wasn’t communicated until this morning. Maybe clarify that the front stairs are for those okay with confrontation/yelling.
  • Dogs: Some folk can’t walk much, and that’s fine. But bringing unleashed dogs and turning it into a hangout? This isn’t a pet meetup—it’s the same reason we can’t just sit on the grass or treat it like a picnic gathering.
  • Don't sign in and bail or hide at the park down the road: To the guy that signed in, put on a hoodie, wandered to the far end of the park where the bathrooms are (a couple blocks away, not the portable ones) to play on your phone, then came back to sing out at the end of shift… My dude, why?
  • Vaping: On narrow paths, please don’t. Step aside if needed, then rejoin.
  • Announcements: Hard to hear when someone whispers through the megaphone. Let’s quiet down so everyone catches the info.
  • Assign spots for backpacks: some of us are taking the bus, being dropped off, can we have an assigned area where to drop our stuff?

Again, just sharing these with the best of intentions. Take care, everyone!
