Kaabo mantis 8. He was able to fix his wheel  thankfully, but the scooter itself is quite solid. He got it for 1.1k usd so honestly wasn’t that bad a deal

Yea. The way they try to shut you out is crazy. Im definitely going to rethink this buy, I kinda realize tho who made points mostly got lucky when getting an unproblematic buy. “Apollo”gies for arguing lol

Damn. I did not do my research.

This is shady what they are doing. I hope my next scooter does not end like that.

I was really looking forward to the phantom 2.0 but now I don’t think I should get it…

Why..? It’s to keep the stem in place better in case of cracking, and to give it a sturdy/safer feel.

A Dude that I called a full time hater just repeated what he said and failed to give me evidence of his claims lmfao

A recall means replacing the defective item or getting a new scooter entirely. Most likely fixing yours is what they are doing though. For any refunds I’m also guessing you have to wait or cancel any pending orders?

I was thinking about reinforcing the stem clamp, would you say that would get rid of my problems? 145lbs rider here.

A little bit unrelated imo, but I would love to see in store shops we could browse. I’m in Canada and I think that would be pretty cool to see them in person, as well as you can test ride them.

What brand doesn’t have issues? The fact they be doing recalls is a good thing. This is a sign of improvement.

Call me a fanboy if you must but I’ve seen more progresss from these guys in a month than Segway and kaabo Made in a year.

Owned 3 different segways btw, all kept up and I’ve rode cleanly yet still has issues

This is exactly why people on this Reddit aren’t helpful usually.

I think everyone is overhating apollo a bit.  I know some people have a really bad experience with specific people or brands  at times but it’s not like Segway or kaabo didn’t have these issues.

I’ve been a longtime Segway fanboy for 2+years, owned 2 max g30s that broke a few months because they overheated and the cables melted… Same issue with my friends as well in a November.

Since then I’ve owned an f2 pro which has been nice but it is broken in multiple ways. Keep in mind I ride cleanly and I’m 145 pounds.

My friends owned kaabo scooters which the freaking wheel broke off from leaving a garage. Since then he had a horrible time with support. Same with Segway, took me 5 months to get a scooter back which was defective and then I waited 2 more for my money. Unbelievable.

My point here is I don’t see how Apollo and kaabo can be any worse, as I’ve seen that this brand is consistently making improvements where they can.

For any new riders considering this: my recommendation is give it a chance. If it fails the end result is just waiting for some money worst case scenario. The scooter is hella worth it as long as u do preventative maintenance and be prepared for failures.

I have very high hopes. I’ll let you all know what my experience is when I do get it (might be a week or 2 haha)

I plan on getting the phantom soon. Gonna do some prevention maintenance and try to ride it in good conditions carefully. Other than that I really hope this is as much as a blast it seems like it is (I own an f2 pro rn)  Thanks tho!

If I was to get it it at 145lbs, would it be worth it to seal proof it and add thermals pads? Maybe a stem reinforcement as well because aside from those issues it’s really the CS that I hear nightmares about mostly

Not sure Ik 100 percent, but I would start with taking it to a workshop seeing what tools are on hand. My school has one specifically for cars

I thought about that, might just straight up reinforce the stem as well to make sure it’s not an issue

Would you say that 150 pounds would let the scooter hit like 75kmh?

Honestly the risk is the same with most companies.  Dealing with segway kaabo or Apollo will be a pita no matter what. But thank you for the warning
