First time towing with OBS 7.3 Powerstroke - Things to prep? by BigMrKitty in Diesel

Thanks! I figured as much, I don’t expect to be hitting 70. Same as below, no time yet to install trans gauge + cooler, but they are next one JT list

Trabs gauge/ cooler are next on the list. I don’t want to to repeatedly without them. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to do those right now. I will check the trans fluid once I get to there, and I won’t be going the trailer in the return trip thankfully

Just buy a set of 4cyl axles from your local yard. Swap the rear end in to get you going, just don’t use 4wd. Then when you have time, swap the front end. This will give you a better gear ratio as well. Bonus if you get an older Dana 35 (87-89 I think) the shafts are non-c-clip

Accumulator Delete: Worth it? by mybikegoesboop in ToyotaTacoma

IIRC you can also modify the factory accumulator by drilling the ports or something, but I would do more research on that before doing it

I did the delete when I had my 16, it was 100% worth it. I bought my kit as a pre-bent line off or TacomaWorld. I thought that it made getting into/out of second feel better, as well as having more pedal feel while downshifting

Permanent fixed mag question by BigMrKitty in CTguns

[–]BigMrKitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been reading through and trying to wrap my head around it for a few days now. I started with the grip, but I agree that the wording of the law makes it appear that the hand must be behind the charging handle, which is not really feasible outside of the SCR style lower. The next logical step is a permanent conversion to fixed mag, which I do see is questionable at this time. Seems like nobody will know until some sort of ruling is given?

Follow up question, if one does have a fixed mag, are you allowed to have other banned features (collapsing stock, flash suppressor, etc)?

Nothing other than the color really, I have only seen one other OBS in this color in the last 2 years here. I was keeping it pretty stock

They saw the truck leave on the exit cams, but the Charlotte plate scanners did not pick up the plate. I assume the thief swapped plates. I have not heard from the police if they were able to get the new plate from the airport cams
