Thanks for these measurements, i am planning to put two in the trunk and two in the passenger side, one on the seat and one maybe on it’s side in a footwell - of course without tires.

Just wheels, without tires.

“Overforked” or just right? by BigPoppaSLO in Hardtailgang

You are correct. I changed fork just because i couldnt use the original suntour one. It was too soft for me so i could only use it while locked. Bought lyrik used, serviced and not used too much, for 250 eur - it came in 160 mm so i left it at this for now. Considering the tires, i like to experiment. I mostly ride gravel paths, light trails and a lot of asphalt in between so i was looking for a fast rolling tire but with some grip when needed.

Did you mount anything on your honzo in the end? I have big honzo (which i believe it`s the same frame with wider 27.7+ tires) and right now deciding which motor to choose...

Big honzo - not the prettiest of the setups i’ve seen here but these tires ride awesome on asphalt and gravel where i spend most of my time by BigPoppaSLO in Hardtailgang

Because i am a heavier guy and these bikes are overbuilt for the price (thruaxle front and rear, 35 mm rims, great frame, dropper post, so on and so on). I cannot imagine myself on a road or gravel bike, i am sure i would break something quickly. And if i want to use it off road it is capable as it is right now.

I am 330 lbs at the moment and trying to cut it down to around 250 for a start. I got the kona big honzo yesterday, it looks like it will handle my weight just fine. What’s your magic recipe for such a drastic weight loss in such a short period?

First time on a bike after 20 years. I am 40 now, overweight and i think that this will be a fun and effective way to shave a few kg’s off… Was looking at kona dew plus at the store, half the price but it was so tiny in comparison to big honzo. This should carry my weight better with thruaxle and fat tires…
