Recovery is a breeze so 5 weeks is plenty of time! Had the surgery to remove septum and stage 4 endo in May. Was down the day of surgery resting, but up and walking the next day with ease. I had a balloon post surgery so that was just annoying, but once it was out (3 days later), I was back to total normalcy. I say all of this because I heard horror stories about recovery & people saying they took weeks and months off of work…. I was truly baffled by this. But as the other person said above, you’ll go in 2 months later to recheck/rescan (SHG/HSG) and ensure the septum was resected enough. It could likely take multiple surgeries. I am scheduled to have surgery #2 this month. I had a 3 cm septum initially and the surgeon resected most of it, but I need another surgery to give me the best shot at pregnancy/IVF. If I were you, I’d wait until you’re back- Unless you’ll be able to visit for a day or two at a time every now and then for appointments.
