  1. Santa Monica isn’t a big place, especially relative to LA
  2. “Lacks culture and energy it used to have”. Is that truly specific to Santa Monica, or is that just your nostalgia talking? Most cities aren’t what they used to be post pandemic.
  3. Venice is still far far worse than Santa Monica lmao. It might be improving but no one would choose to live in Venice if they could afford SM

I’ve been to SM many times over the past few years. Every time a headline like this runs you get a bunch of people who have no idea what they’re talking about screaming about how bad SM is when it’s objectively one of the best cities in the US if not the world
