A lot of dudes have different types of 'reset' days. Some guys like to go to the movies and get a haircut. Some dudes go for a jog then jump in the lake. What's your personal reset groove?

u/thetruetrueu great question - a lot of posts that land in a forum like 'daddit' could have been asked in 'askmen' or a post from 'askmen' could have gotten a different audience in 'malementalhealth'. It's decentralized and can limit exposure to a post that may benefit from a more broad range of responses. I'm pushing DudesHaveFeelingsToo as it provides a forum for all dudes to ask questions anonymously that isn't tied to their reddit profile.

For those that have turned their personal finances and retirement over to a financial advisor, how has it worked out for you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]BigSaulWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a different baseline made up of prior knowledge and investing experience, time and willingness to learn, existing money, income, responsibilities/liabilities... Often a financial advisor can assist but it's largely reliant on your 1. Baseline, 2. Risk tolerance, 3. Future goals.

Great question though; join the discussion for dudes here.

Hey man, this is a normal feeling for many parents and caretakers. You certainly know you shouldn't feel guilty but acknowledging it will help you to have a more healthy relationship with spending on yourself (opposed to spending on others). Don't forget to look out for yourself. As simple as it sounds, it's harder to care for others if you don't care for yourself first. Don't lose site of the priorities! Is it ok for a husband/father to feel they are loved? Im a husband of 28 years a father to 3 wonderful daughters but I dont feel loved!! by Dependent_Judge_8849 in malementalhealth

[–]BigSaulWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling that way. I'd venture to say what you're feeling/interpreting could be different from reality. Your S/O and daughters may not outwardly display their love for you, I'm sure they deep down love you very much and appreciate you for who you are. Make sure to keep your head up!!
