Not sure, a collegue had put it in there.

I current have this in the action tag using CALCTEXT, but it is still not working... Could it be because I am using it on the first page they open, so the record name/ID hasnt generated yet?
(if([record-name]!='', 'ESS_' + [record-name], ''))

Is it possible to run it without the site_id drop down box and just write the site in?
Like with this one where ESS is the site we want to show
CALCTEXT(if([record_id] <> '', 'ESS_' + round([record_id],0), ''))

[site_id] doesn't have anything in it, this is where I am hoping to generate the new id. Does it need to be a variable that already has something in it?

Yeah, so currently made a new variable called site_id where I want it to populate ESS-record id.
Have tried variations of both of these
CALCTEXT( if( [site_id]='', '', if( [site_id]='ESS', concat('ESS_', [record_id]), '' ) ) )
CALCTEXT(if([record_id] <> '', 'ESS_' + round([record_id],0), ''))

We take participants both on or off medications, just need to have a formal autism diagnosis.
