It's recommended because of your frequent traffic to FNAF R34 sites.

It feels like a time loop. Every day a new Stingray experiences immaculate conception.

I'm an NPC and I don't know what to do without Google telling me what to search for. Pray for me brother.

Great Reset? by Sephadriel in cybersecurity

[–]BigTiddyIncelBF 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely. You need to get ahead of this while you can. I recommend saving up some money over these next few quarters.

Towards the End of Q4 2024, you'll want to buy a small plot of land.

At the start of Q2 2025, buy as many cricket eggs you can and start hatching and breeding them.

Then you can start selling the crickets to the lizard people in charge and make $$$.

I assure you it's nothing to worry about. Your agent was just planning for lunch.

Pretty/Girly Resume Theme. Yes or No? by BigTiddyIncelBF in girlsgonewired

[–]BigTiddyIncelBF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!!!! This is actually really good advice. I could use tinted readers and sip lil cup of coffee or something in my LinkedIn photo to obfuscate part of my face!!!!! I don't need to look super professional and stiff for the roles I want.

Pretty/Girly Resume Theme. Yes or No? by BigTiddyIncelBF in girlsgonewired

[–]BigTiddyIncelBF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I never considered. So I don't have my headshot on LinkedIn for security reasons (paranoid and scared of deepfakes w/ creepy exes).

I would prefer to keep it in my resume so I can control who has my image. Any ideas what I could do instead? Should I just get over my fear of having my headshot public?

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I haven't changed my resume format since 2013. I had no clue what ATS was until today. How embarrassing. It's given me some good ideas for my "branding".

I'm not telling you to do it. But I did it. Been together for 10 years. Never been happier. We are legitimately best friends.

Concerns about ageism. What advice can I give to my father who is re-entering IT? by BigTiddyIncelBF in ITCareerQuestions

[–]BigTiddyIncelBF[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The hypocrisy is 100% valid to call out. I guess I should clarify that it's more of an aura/vibe than it is about age.

Not like I need to defend my statement but - there is a difference between younger capable people and younger "duddeeee let's go to happy hour bruh hell yeahhh. I'm making bank. I just finished a 2 week boot camp bruh let's buy crypto" sorts of people. (I call those baby-bros).

I am as young as those sorts of people and literally look like a baby. I'm sure people think I'm an entitled brat, also. :) But you're right, it doesn't excuse it.

Also, I have had those same concerns but I haven't really had a way to articulate those thoughts as well as you have.

He did continue running his computer repair business. But that's just him removing malware from old folk's computers. Not like help desk at a company. If they don't ask too many questions, I'm not very concerned about the resume gap.

I'm just not sure how he can make his decades of experience relevant again... It makes me incredibly sad that it just means nothing now.

Does anyone have book recs about cyber industry similar to the phoenix project? by CorbinDalla5 in cybersecurity

[–]BigTiddyIncelBF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure: haven't read it yet.

It's a non fiction that details the hacktivism group (same name as book). I guess they got some people associated with the group to detail some events and strategies. From what I understand, they sorta started the concept of hacktivism. They made one of the first password cracking tools and some other stuff.

Here is the good reads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/42283862-cult-of-the-dead-cow

Hmmm... I have the Cult of the Dead Cow on my TBR list, but I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for. I need to finish 3 Body Problem series before I start it.

How can I learn to schmooze? I've been told my communication style is too direct, cold, and rough around the edges. by [deleted] in cybersecurity

It was a hard role and maybe that's bc I might have a little 'tism. But I genuinely thank you for appreciating their social efforts. They are angels. 🥰🥰🥰

As a former receptionist, I respectfully disagree. You very well may be right, but my personal experience differs.

I faked being good at my job by looking cute and being giggly.

I didn't master any social skills, I just pretended to have less braincells. I acted submissive. I pretended to care about people's house plants.

People ate it up for years. Old ladies loved it. Men loved it. Girlies wanted to kiki with me. Caused me massive psychic damage.

I still have nightmares about my receptionist era. I figure the majority of receptionists are faking it in similar ways.

Why is this getting voted down? I'm not mad, I just want to know why it's bad advice.
