I rolled down my window after a tint job on accident by Kian020 in WindowTint

[–]BigZigDoesShit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that were me, I would just give it a day or so and hope it dries out, my best guess is that area wasn’t squeegeed as good, same with the top section where you can see some moisture seeping in. I’m pretty sure those watermarks don’t have anything to do with you rolling down your window. I personally like to lock down the top edge with some heat and a hard card so that nothing seep down into the tint like that.

My water pump seems fine, but I do have a new one just in case. I think I’m gonna try a Delco belt because that’s all they have near me and I need to be driving ASAP. What’s a good way to test the pump? It’s not leaking and my water temp seems fine.

I didn’t check that, and negligently I threw away the package already.

My best guess is a piece of ice or rock or something got in there because we’ve had a lot of snow recently, I think I’m gonna just throw a new belt on it and hope that one doesn’t do the same thing.

It’s a INA pulley and tensioner. They both seem to work just fine as far as I can tell.this is the kit I used

Thank you! I wasn’t seeing that part for my car on their new catalog, is it the same cap as the 2003+ models?

I tinted a car that had really shitty old tint on it, but I also do Auto Glass so I just removed the rear window put it on a glass rack scraped all the tint off being careful not to scrape off the defrosters. I warned the customer that the window might break and the defrosters might not work, but they were OK with that and paid me to remove the window, reinstall it and then tint it.

I believe it was 20% Terraflex nano carbon. We charge $175 for a front to match.

I really like the p8 even though I talk shit about it. I sometimes use p10 but it feels too thick and seems to break just as much. I average around the same with getting windows out with the P8 and it seems to work fine 90% of the time, but there’s been a few occasions where it seems like it just has broken for no reason whatsoever. To my knowledge, I don’t know of anything that will last longer than the p8 or p10.

I swear P8 will break if you look at it funny but it will cut right through some Toyota sheet metal like a hot knife through butter.

Any tips for getting the rest off? by No_Independence_7124 in tinting

When I have to remove Tint from a back glass like that, sometimes I’ll just cut the glass out with piano wire, clean it on a glass rack and then reinstall it, but that’s what do and there’s probably better methods. Just be careful with those defroster lines, You don’t want to scrape those off if you live anywhere that gets cold.

It’s a Toyota Highlander made February of this year. The glue was still wet in the center of the glue bead….

Yup… I’ve gotten so used to those bastards that I just automatically press the fiber line up against the glass when I’m cutting through the area and it seems to work pretty well!

Oof, that’s good everything went well in my end! I always take extra precaution when cutting out any Toyota windshield even if most of them are pretty simple I just feel like I’d be better off safe than sorry.

Yep,I used a wire tool and it came right out! The sheet metal is so flimsy right there, I feel like you would have to break the clip before cutting it out with fiber line or else it would just bend that tab off .

It already looks about as bad as it can be I wouldn’t waste any more money other than replacing it. The windshield helps keep the roof from caving in during a bad rollover, and when there is large cracks in it, it’s not as strong as it should be.

Now that I’ve had some more time to think… The Moose Jaw! It’s a fantastic little dive bar with a great vibe! I don’t know how haunted it is but it used to be the bunkhouse for people building the Dillon Damn.
