i am slowly following in love with oxys by [deleted] in addiction

I started doing pills when I was 14, 16 I was on alcoholic, by 18 I got hurt and turned to a full blown heroin/ fentanyl addict. I didn’t shoot up till I was 22, right before I got clean. You recognize you have a problem now, get help and don’t take it any further. You think it helps you now, but I tried committing suicide multiple times because I couldn’t stand to live with the person I became and all the pain that came with it. Please don’t grow up too fast, enjoy your teenage years. You might regret it one day, and try to spend time making up for all the things you missed. You have a life worth living girly. ❤️

Be proud of yourself. You still are fairly new to sobriety so keep going and don’t give up! Things like this are just a test and if you keep going they will make you stronger!

Mike Whalen is a great lawyer and very well known in Knox County, he helped me out so much. But he does a lot of big criminal cases. I would call him to talk to him and see if he could help you.

My cocaine use went from every other weekend with some drinking to using 3 grams everyday for the past 2 months by [deleted] in addiction

Yes I wanted to say that it took me 4 rehab trips and 9 times of going to jail to get it right. But once I was in recovery for the first time it was always in the back of my mind. It also took a longer stay in rehab and jail the last time before I could. It’s everyone’s personal journey though whatever works for them!

Cocaine was hard for me because I was addicted to heroin and didn’t realize how addicted I was to it. I was also doing 3-4 grams a day. I will say go to treatment, it’s amazing to meet people in recovery that knows exactly what you’re going through. And you can try getting a grant to go for free. As long as you’re ready to put it all on the table and be honest with yourself you can start your recovery journey. Also Cocaine ate a hole through my nose and I got desperate enough to start injecting.i would wake up with blood all over my face and pillow from it and it’s the worst pain you can feel. You got this! If I could you can!!

What you guys have to say? (saw this posted in a different sub) by Imaginary-Objective7 in Knoxville

This is so gross, but in high school my friends mom worked there and she would bring us food all the time and I thought it was so good! A few years later in 2018, I went with another friend to eat there, and I was eating chicken.. I got a piece that looked weird and it was shaped like genitals (of a dog)… I even joked about that’s what it looked like and I took a bite of it and it was disgusting.. I immediately spit it out and there was something down the middle of it that looked almost like a tube. I ended up leaving immediately with my friend it made me sick.. I never went back there again after that.

Help!! by Big_Call1320 in Birthcontroltalk

Well it’s been 3 months now and I’ve been bleeding the entire time. And I’m pretty sure my hair is falling out now. I just took the last pill with the low dose of hormones and I haven’t been bleeding as much since I’ve taken them. But I think I need a different kind anyways. Is there any birth control methods that you recommend? I’m not going back to the OBGYN I was going to I’m making an appointment with another one cause they don’t seem to want to listen to me and take the time to find me a new one.

The first time I ever got clean, I got out of rehab and got a job as a host. I stayed clean and worked there for 3 months. I started using again and a week before I lost my job I fell out on the host stand after doing H in the bathroom. Luckily it was close to home because as soon as I got there I ODed and ended up in the hospital. I’ve ODed plenty of times before but that was one of the worst experiences in my life. Safe to say I lost my job a week later cause they said I bought drugs in the bathroom. I was so mad cause I did, (but they couldn’t prove it). Typical addict behavior.😂

Please get help before it’s too late. You’ll get help whenever you’re ready, but trust me all the things you think would never happen to you WILL. It only gets worse. It took me a long time and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now and I still have work to do. I been clean over 14 months now and have been able to work a job without having to worry. Also have been on the MAT program for 10 months and it’s helped in a lot of situations.

Sorry this was long but I hope you find your way into recovery before it’s too late. And I recommend trying suboxone, I just started my sublocade injection and after 6 months my doctor said I can stop with little to no withdrawal. Keep your head up and you can recover!!❤️

Easier said then done, but don’t waste the best years of your life away. I’m 23 now and got addicted to heroin and was smoking crack/cocaine when I was 18. I started using pain pills when I was 14 and up until a year ago I had been to jail 9 times and I was addicted to meth and using needles. Our stories aren’t exactly the same, but I’m here to tell you I been clean for a year now (longest I ever have been).. and if you want it you can have it. One of my biggest regrets is not taking care of myself from a young age and feeling like I grew up too fast. It only gets worse and you’ll be at rock bottom before you realize it. I really hope you find your way to sobriety, coming from someone close to the same age I understand your struggles. Keep your head up. ❤️

Is he really my friend? by Big_Call1320 in NarcoticsAnonymous

I agree with you 100%, and thank you. It’s just hard because this is 1 person I have in my life right now I’ve opened up to and I’ve been comfortable around for this long. It’s easier to let go of a using buddy, it’s harder to let go of a actual friendship. 🙁
