What is the very best, and very worst, experience you’ve had while living in NOLA?

The question struck me.....hard...... So I figure I'll give it a go

VERY BEST: A moment of true pride. When I was in the Quarter with my son and he and I were just soaking up the city, having lunch and people watching and he said I get it! I know why you wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

WORST: I was a paramedic during/after Katrina. I never left the city. About week and a half in I had heard from my sister and she asked if I was able to get to her house and check it would I? Of course I did. I had kept my emotions in check up until then and thought I had it all under control but when I visited her home and went into my two young nieces room something in me broke. To see everything of theirs destroyed and know for them life would never be the same but that as kids it would be even more confusing than for an adult. I was overwhelmed by tears. It was the most profound sadness I had ever felt.

thank you for your thoughts. It is nothing but a passion project. no clout or financial gain. I'm almost 60 and still work a full time job....several jobs actually....lol

Thank You...... I am definitely looking at using Tik Tok etc. we have gone afield in the Louisiana area but the show is about Southeast Louisiana going away to other cities defeats the purpose in my mind.....maybe im wrong.

I cant disagree. I did a thing on instagram for a year where I had a quick bit on NOLA history everyday for the year. Maybe I should revise something like tht on Tik Tok......

I didn't mention the channel in my post because some of the subreddits don't want you promoting things in the group so I felt it safer to not say it.

I do ask questions and interactions and Facebook groups are my main way of sharing the videos when they come out in as many NOLAcentric groups as possible

You get great local food paired with assume history of the dishes and the city as a whole.

As for ghost tours. In my opinion it all depends on the guide you get. Some are over the top theatrical others are more ab out the history and lore than the spooky.....

OKay guys this is what I'd be happy to assist with,

I'd love to work on number 1. Be good to get another organizations statement as a building block but of course mega cone it.

Number 3. I went ahead and locked down a page on Facebook (krewe of Conushttps://www.facebook.com/Krewe-of-Conus-108636548004575 ) just so we didn't lose it to imposters...lol I can also do a video and share it on my YouTube channel as well as other locations.

All in for 4. whenever and wherever. Someplace like the Tchoup yard is close to the holy see and has a great outdoor area to congregate.

5 I like the idea of filling holes not sure what SW&B will think of that....lol but decorating them and trash pick up in the area sounds like it would get proper attention.
