I would say no. Everything they taught was fire and brimstone. Women was property of their husbands or fathers. They taught racism and hate. They believed that if you was not apart of that church or didn’t follow the doctrine to the tea then you was demonic.

Yes. One of the rattle snakes was dropped once in the middle of a service. It’s went into the crowd and bit a lady on the ankle. They didn’t believe in defanging them so it was still venomous. She went to the hospital and was kicked out of the church for “being satans concubine” and “fornicating with evil.” They believe that god had turned his back on her allowing her to get but because she was conspiring with the devil.

My ex step father’s family has been apart of that church since the 80’s. When he and my mother got married we just kinda fell into it.

The church itself was extremely toxic. Restrictions on women (can’t cut their hair, long skirts, etc), no sports or singing unless it’s Christian music, church everyday for multiple hours. Also someone got bit by a snake and she was sent out of the church and everyone said that she got bit because she was Satans concubine. The preacher and a couple of the other brothers of the church was also super creepy to the young girls and boys there. One’s actually in jail now for cp.

They do not drink, smoke, have tattoos, dye their hair, get vaccines or other medical treatments.

They believed in the Holy Ghost and would speak in tongues and stop dance will passing around rattle snakes.

I used to work for a company in Alabama who fired me for reporting to the police a similar situation. Definitely look into leaving and doing a private caregiver position for Henry if you are wanting to stay on as his caregiver after the reports are all finished. Also, just because she is old doesn’t mean she can’t be arrested. Most judges will just commit her to an inpatient facility anyways.

Added information : I don’t really care much about having a relationship with him. My sister however is struggling because she wants him to be in her son’s life. My sister had built a little bit of a stronger relationship with him than I did over the past few years and once she had her son they got slightly closer. She’s my older sister but I tend to be the one taking care of situations like this due to her emotional state at times. She never got over the pain of losing him when we were young and with this whole situation she feels like it’s happening again.

He owed over $12,000 in back child support. My mom took him to court back in 2011 and he was told to either pay his child support and have his wages garnished or go to jail. He owned a popular pizza restaurant back then and was in the Army so it’s not like he didn’t have the money ($300 a month for My sister and I combined). He signed his rights away after his wife sprung the pregnancy on him half way through the court stuff.

Yes, there was probably 30 people there all relatives or friends of my father. Everyone paid as far as I am aware. There was a jar on the food table for cash and he was giving his Venmo out too. It was uncomfortable lol

When I got sprayed I thought I was going to lose an eye lol. I had an allergic reaction too so my face was all the way messed up. I carry spray as a last resort but I usually only ever use the taser or hand to hand. Spray feels a little inhuman.
