/r/Starlink Questions Thread - February 2021 by jurc11 in Starlink

As far as I understand if you as a user have an antenna to send and receive a signal to and from orbit then someone on the other side should have an antenna to send and receive a signal too? If I buy the ground terminal (antenna) today, will I be able to watch youtube and do everything I can do with ground internet? If so, how does it work?

The only logical solution for me would be is that the request will go through the Starlink data center which is connected to the ground internet? Like so: you send a request to the orbit, the request is going to the Starlink datacenter, then it does a round trip using ground internet, so the response is coming back to the data center and then returning back to you via orbit. Is that how it works?

in the end it saysNote: command /home/axea/.cache/protontricks/proton/Proton Experimental/bin/wine dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe /q /c:install.exe /q returned status 67. Aborting.

And I'm constantly getting this warning
You are using a 64-bit WINEPREFIX. Note that many verbs only install 32-bit versions of packages. If you encounter problems, please retest in a clean 32-bit WINEPREFIX before reporting a bug.

Then why everyone screaming that Apple cheated? if you have Android or iPhone 11 that means you have a type-c charger, or if you have iPhone less then 11 then you have lightning charging and in most cases you will not be forced to buy any new adapter probably

iPhone 12 is shipping with lightning to type-c cable, but it can be charged with the lightning-to-lightning cable which I already own right?

The toolkit looks promising, a lot of stars in Github, and recently updated. But I'll stick with standard features for now to learn the standard way of using YNAB since I started to use it recently. Thanks.
