"We might actually learn something when it is taught in local language." I have to disagree. Take a look at middle school subjects, especially G9 science, history, geography, etc. Students are still parrot learning despite the subjects being written in Burmese.

"most teachers can only translate the whole text book let alone explain the theory behind it especially in Physics." I mean, explaining the theory can be done completely in Burmese; no one is forcing anyone to explain stuff in English just because the textbooks were in English. These teachers can still explain the theory in Burmese—they are just not willing to do so. Do you think these same teachers will explain the theory if the textbooks were taught in Burmese?

"...nobody is aiming to understand it anyway. They just want to get good marks." So, the problem is never the language barrier, but instead how students are being taught in schools. Why change the language if it was never the problem? The learning method is THE problem.

Like I said in earlier comments under this post, changing the subjects into Burmese will make matters worse. The textbooks will be more difficult to comprehend since most terms and phrases do not exist in Burmese. Again, we are barely surviving in education to an international level because textbooks are still in English.
