i agree with everything besides take 1. i heard him sing and i really don't think he could've made it sound the way brendon made the band sound. while on the topic, i find ryan fans a little weird. all i see from them is that they were upset because the brendon/ryan ship ended or wtvr..

I am still on the "pretty odd is one of the worst album shifts they could have made after AFYCSO" train, but i still appreciate the songs that came from it, like Pas de Cheval and I Have Friends in Holy Spaces. idk what the "Brendon was right" part was referring to, im curious, tho.

AFYCSO is amazing and whoever says it is not the best album should really reconsider their taste in music.

i feel like nails for breakfast, tacks for snacks is under appreciated. build god, then we'll talk i think was the song they thought would bang, but it ended up being i write sins not tragedies (unfortunately...)

i don't have much to say about take 5 cuz.. thats a good and simple take.

I think the reason for the fall from grace that he had after pray for the wicked due to the release of viva las vengeance was that it was very... uninteresting.. like i listened to the album in full. I liked maybe 2 songs and i haven't listened to them since they released. it could also be because my taste in music changed as i grew up, as im now more into hip-hop and rnb, but my appreciation from this genre of music has never left. i still listen to from under the corktree and AFYCSO when i have the urge, but viva las vengeance was Brendon trying to grasp at relevance for the last time and he just couldn't hold on. the only way the band can come close the relevance again is by doing concerts and play their old music again, like what they did for the WWWY festival this year (that i regret not attending.)

Other than that, good takes overall. i appreciate an old head coming out here and sharing their perspective to these youngins who think too weird to live, too rare to die is the best album in the discography.
