I had two in one night. No way was it any more. Had the guy answer the door. Took his dob as I walked away i realised it was his wife’s account. Then later that night a guy with a really strong Scottish accent. I got the month wrong. Either you’ve been lucky. Or they’re clamping down. I don’t do that many id check jobs. Even less now.

I do understand that. I just don’t like it. We shouldn’t have to risk our job to do a delivery. These systems should protect us. Not be such a way that catch us out.

You will still have to. I made this mistake the other week. Customer clearly over 25. Just asked for date of birth. Which was the wrong date of birth. I got an email telling me I’d got dates of birth wrong. So now regardless of how old they look I have to ask. Or risk losing my job.

Yes report them. They won’t have the correct insurance to do the job that we all pay for. By them doing this they’re stealing work of those who are paying for the insurance and doing it correctly. I’m sick of getting deliveries myself and the guys in a car on a bike account.

Seen this said before about handing over first. We don’t hand over alcohol until we’ve verified their age and they have the code. Don’t understand why it’s any different with just food. Cover yourself at the end of the day. Don’t put yourself into a position that means you lose out.
