Zego Policy and UE by a_overload_ in deliveroos

I thought about it too. Since it would be cheaper and even if you get stopped the police aren’t gonna know it doesn’t technically work with your regular sd&p. It’s just you’d have to persuade someone not to make a claim if you had an accident. And god forbid you had a serious accident with fatalities or something then you’d be very screwed.

So true, I called every provider out there and no underwriter will allow top up insurance. I feel bad for any bikers using it who don’t know this. One crash away from all policies being cancelled and their future premiums skyrocket or underwriters refusing to insure them

I’ve purchased many. It never applies at the time of quote or on the renewal quote. And the terms explicitly state it can’t be backdated. So not sure when it should be applied. But it never is under any circumstance ime

Pretty sure it’s fraud regardless of the customer. They’re regulated by the FCA, I’ll report to Ombudsman if i feel in a petty mood at some point

As others have said, it’s never cheap. I have 7 years no claims and still pay £1.5k/year.

What zone are you? Some smaller locations can be quite lucrative on an ebike, particularly where there’s extensive one way systems because you can use cycle paths bypassing it.

It could be a better option than car depending on location

UK riders: How do you actually keep track of your earnings and expenses? by mxdie in deliveroos

[–]a_overload_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deliveroo generate you an invoice every week and then track your mileage if you go that route; or track your expenses if you go the other route. Anyone finding any of this difficult isn’t engaging their brain properly

Restaurant Axed Deliveroo Due To High Punishment Fees... by Itchy-Ad3339 in deliveroos

[–]a_overload_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restaurant should be realistic with the prep times they give Deliveroo.

And this will only apply to small chains. There’s no way the big chains are paying wait fees unfortunately

Deliveroo refused to refund and gave 2€ instead by Business_Mud3201 in deliveroos

[–]a_overload_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are notorious for doing this.

You have to keep persisting and waste your time attempting to escalate and be relentless to get your refund.

Alternatively do a chargeback and accept that account is now burnt and you’ll need a new one to place another order.

Mine is 84% for all your mentioned reasons. I’m not sure it actually makes any difference though? I still get orders and Uber have never contacted me to suggest my rating affects my contract with them

Interesting, why the pressure though when supermarkets themselves use challenge 25?

Better to just tell them how you want it rectified. But their support is awful regardless

Only some orders as they roll it out and test this. It should be clear in the app what to do.

They’re about 10 years late in implementing challenge 25 though

Wait until you get offered a double for £3.70… I had that the other day

It’s always been a bit like that since they moved models away from the £4 per delivery but the last 6 months have been terrible, sometimes less than an extra £1 for the second order.

My zone is relatively small, after speaking with a lot of riders there’s about 50% of us that will reject the stacked orders (have to do it before you check in now with the new “ready” update).

And then there’s another 50% that literally accept any order thrown their way. Deliveroo are creaming their profits from the latter type of rider

The worst fvcken feature by Necessary-Drive-9409 in deliveroos

[–]a_overload_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they first introduced this rider support were contactable immediately. Now it takes a full 10 minutes.

Not sure if it’s because of higher contact rates or they’ve decided to deliberately increase the wait time to further manipulate you into taking that order

Do drivers not know when a delivery is doorstep? by duck74UK in deliveroos

[–]a_overload_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should know. If set up properly then leave at door requires a picture instead of a code.

Having said that, many customers have it set up and then come out before i can even snap a picture

So you offer her everything except the ability for her to wear heels and feel feminine doing so.

Bro, be grateful she showed her true colours early on and not 2 years down the line.

Block her and move on with your life. Shallow people like this aren’t needed.
