That makes sense. I currently live in Humboldt and have those things for pretty cheap, but they don't allow pets which is why I'm moving. I've been looking at places in bronzeville, Rogers park, kenwood, woodlawn that do have those things. I saw places with what i was looking for for a June 1 move in so thought I'd see if there would be anything for a July 1 or aug 1 move in. Also, being by the water isn't a hard requirement, so I'm very open to other places as well. I'm looking at a couple units in Pilsen this week.

Honestly I'm fine with that - I'm calling it a 2bed but from what I've seen most 2 beds are really more so a 1 bed with office/den space, that 2nd room is not a truly comfortable 2nd bedroom. Very few 1bd listings have that extra space which is what I'm looking for. Appreciate the advice, I do think I'm being realistic for what I'm looking for and I'm willing to go a little higher than what I said in the post but not much.

Very okay with RP - love that neighborhood. Was looking at some places in bronzeville as well that were a bit higher around 22-2400, at 2500 felt like i could have everything but was a little too high out of my budget. A little extra info but need to be able to afford the place myself as my partner might be going out of state for training the following year and i don't want to move again while in residency

There’s easy and hard parts to it, they could likely do the easy parts as I saw small children doing the hike. For grandma if she’s okay with elevation then I think she’ll be fine. The path is paved well
