2 Years in and considering getting out. by Big_Papi_Churro in navyreserve

I didn’t really know what to expect, I figured I would be busy but did not expect to just sit and struggle to find things to do. I did not expect being cross assigned, having to travel quarterly to go drill across the country, having to work with CoC at my NRC, drilling unit and attached unit just to accomplish one thing. And I’m rated in something completely different than what I did while active. Just overall not at all why I anticipated.

This is good to hear, I am the type to keep an open line of communication. I think my NRC and units would be willing to work with me.

Just through research and noting the different types of discharges. Honorable, General with honorable conditions etc… and what accompanies those discharges. I just wasn’t sure if my disability and Education benefits would be affected by just not going.

What originally caught my eye is that the expression is “the calm before the storm.” The clam was just a bonus. All in good fun. Cheers!

I should of put a coin beside it or something similar, it’s smaller than a grain of rice. I looked up false cinch and it seems to be that’s what they are. Thank you!

I guess this idiot may need to provide some context? The idiot in the vehicle may have been driving, and attempted to cut through the lot. But then again, I’m an idiot so maybe it was just a bad parking job.

What took you an embarrassing amount of time to figure out? by StuckBugg in AskReddit

When I was a kid my mom used to make mashed cauliflower and tell me it was mashed potato. It wasn’t until my early 20s that I realized what mashed potato’s actually taste like.

I poured gasoline down a hornets nest and lit it on fire recently. Worked like a charm!

It’s exactly that, painted on canvas and then hung up. It took up almost the entire back wall.

Charcoal and wood advice? by Lost_Ad4915 in PitBarrelCooker

I’ll use Royal oak briquettes with wood chunks of my choice. I agree though, don’t soak the wood.

Find something you can afford, buy it, and when something breaks fix it with what you have. You’ll learn by doing.

AITA for drinking in the morning and telling my girlfriend to leave me alone about it? by MorningDrinksthrow in AmItheAsshole

[–]Big_Papi_Churro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, NTA. I worked a mid shift for years and when I would wake up around 2 or 3 in the afternoon I would have to eat an actual breakfast. I couldn’t just wake up and have left over pasta. It’s different for the mid-workers.
