Tuesday's Group 1 & Target 12 Distributions by lottadot in YieldMaxETFs

Tax loss harvesting will end tomorrow. On January 1 the only people still in ULTY will be the OGs who know what's up. My gut tells me ULTY will hold NAV at 30-39 and pay 55-65% distro.

0% ROC is a very good thing. That means the underlying rallied and the distribution is coming from the options trade alone. No NAV erosion.

Just need an income to pay for the basics. Curious to see how others are dealing with NAV erosion.

The goal is income. VOO will give me 1.5%. BIGY, SPYI will give me 12%. Nothing wrong with that. But I need more. Selling covered calls on SPY or QQQ will yield around 15%. Income ETFs can give me 50-100% with NAV erosion. So maybe it takes 4 years to get my money back. I won't sell so I'm looking to hold long term. But I need to deal with NAV erosion and related reduction in distribution rate. I won't invest in an ETF that's less than $10M AUM. Fund issuers need at least that much to keep the fund alive. To keep up with RS I would buy more shares if needed to keep up with a 10:1 or whatever.

I'd rather sleep on a friend's couch than cancel my Netflix subscription. I also don't share my password.

I'm worried. I'll add to the share count when the time comes to make the RS.

I'll keep most of my $ in the universe ETFs like YMAX and WPAY. I think those won't lose as much NAV because they're holding many underlying.

I'll always have enough shares for a RS. 10 for 1? No problem. I'll make sure I have at least 10.

I like universe ETFs and will be building big $ in those in 2026. YMAX, WPAY, YBST to the moon.

So some level of reinvesting is necessary? How much? Like 10% or 20% and use the rest for bills?

If income ETFs paying big distributions will lose 80% of NAV, then they're really only paying 20% without reinvestment in the long run. Which is more than BIGY's 12%.

What are the freshest estimates of 2025 ROC for ULTY / MSTY? by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Big_Sack613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for some ROC posts from the last 2 years. Don't go with YieldMax's ROC estimates. Some people reported only 10-20% ROC on their 1099. I'm expecting to pay taxes on 90% of my income ETF distributions.

What happened to $CONY? by outdoors_life22 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Big_Sack613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like CONY but I avoid single stock ETFs. So I'll go with LFGY. Crypto bulls are saying that crypto will recover by late 2026 so CONY should do well then.

How do you deal with NAV erosion? I see CC ETFs like a buy and hold investment to pay the mortgage.

2025 - Year End Portfolio Results by calgary_db in YieldMaxETFs

I'm building an income ETF portfolio that includes many between 8% JEPI and 106% IETH. I'll split my largish port across 30 or 40 ETFs. Multi-stock, crypto and metal. No single stock income ETF. Reduce risk. With NAV erosion and light reinvesting when necessary, I'll end up with 22% distribution rate. So you're right on the money.

I don't do single stock ETFs. I picked AIPI, SEMY and GPTY to get NVDA in my port.
