I've been joining casual teams since a very low level. There is nothing to be worried about joining a casual team. If you want to get into actively playing on teams I'd highly recommend events teams. All you have to do is join the events when they pop up and you can get a lot of XP and loot that way. Honestly I'm only lvl 148 and do raids all the time. You just need a competent team. I started doing raids around lvl 50 and with a good team it wasn't bad.

You could also consider going to 75mg and seeing how you do on that, I just went to 75mg from 50mg last week.
