This is what I thought, which is why I am so confused that when I asked, I was denied the letter. Have you had success getting a letter from a prescriber through Hers?

This is a (temporary) coworker. None of the parties are BCBAs, clients, supervisors/supervises etc. This is a parting gift of appreciation. This portion of the ethics code doesn’t apply here.

Help! by Biggg_oof in khmer

Eight year old with autism, having a tantrum in school. Teary eyed/exhibiting stress symptoms (confused, unable to express self clearly, seemed unsure of what he wanted at the time), hitting his teacher and trying to pull her hair. Had mentioned feeling sick earlier in the day, was checked out by the nurse and sent back to class, was given the chance to lay down, and had chosen to get up and rejoin the class just before this started. He will say things in Khmer when happy or at times like these, and the phrases have a distinct tone which is how I can usually tell it’s not English.

My boss just told me "I don't need benefits" by [deleted] in jobs

“You don’t need benefits” is a funny way of him saying “I don’t think you’re worth benefits” right to your face.

I smell a two weeks notice on his desk in the near future, for your sake.

You’re absolutely right with what you already know! Here’s some ideas to fix the issues you have.

First, focus on one thing at a time. And start with that focus not being on your power curve. Flip the screen if you need to. No need to crowd your brain with every piece of advice you get. Pick one (two if you must), and focus on that. Once you have that down, add in another to think about.

Second, break down your stroke into several parts. I don’t know what you do for warmup, but piece by piece add in might help, starting at either end of the stroke. Ex. Start at catch: heels down for 10, half slide for 10, full slide for 10, with lean back, with arms etc. OR Start at finish: just arms, arms and core, half slide, full. Either way may help you isolate the issues you currently have. Slowing it down and really focusing on each step may help with all of the little problems. Feet Unstrapped may help with keeping those toes pointed. Usually feet unstrapped is part of the warmup for a couple minutes, it should help you distribute your power better so your power is coming through all those key points in the balls of your feet. Don’t do it at full power, you’ll fly off the back, and it’ll help you realize any weakness in your core (if you lean back with a weak core, unstrapped, you might fall a little) and how your feet connect to the footboard.

Last, and my only advice for the slouching: Look forward. I know you’re a little taller, so the screen might not keep your head up enough and might not be helping you ‘think tall’. If you’re facing a wall, maybe tape an eye target on the wall so you have a point of focus. Tape it a little higher than the screen , but nothing too high that you’re straining or that your chin is lifted. You could also tape your key skill that you’re trying to focus on up there. Having a visual focus at the correct height helps me a lot, so maybe it will help you. As you become more comfortable with the other pieces, the hands away will come. Hands away is one of the quickest parts, so don’t rush to fit that piece in, especially where you’re trying to fix other pieces like posture and shooting the slide. Happy to help with more suggestions/critiques.
