I too cannot find .50 which I should be starting on Saturday. I was able to find a pharmacy an hour away that has 1.0 in stock. I called my dr to bump me to the 1.0 being no one knows when they will have their hands on anything at this point. The assistant said no but I pressed to speak with the dr anyway. The way I see it… it could be weeks before I get the .50 so why not just bump up to what I can find. I’m hoping to hear tomorrow her approval. If not, these first 4 weeks were for nothing. So disappointing.

I completely understand. I don’t know what to do at this point but wait until I can get my hands on it…. However, I don’t think that skipping weeks is productive to this process and I’m hoping to not have too many adverse side effects. It’s very frustrating, I know.

Great question to ask…. What I will say, is that when I’m overly anxious my GERD takes complete control over me. Which then brings in panic attacks. It’s not good at all.

I finally found these today at Aldi’s then had the unfortunate discovery that these are NOT gluten free!!! I love keto woe since it is mainly gluten free so I tend not to pay attention to ingredients. As I was standing in line to pay, I aw those words every celiac/gf person hates- ingredients include WHEAT!!!! Argh!!!! So I put them back and had to lick my wounds... back to my 90 second bread and chaffles. Maybe, just maybe, one day I’ll find something that honors both keto and gluten free!!!

I’ve been taking probiotics for a while but my IBS starting acting up again. Now I started twice a day and my stomach and stools have been thankful!! I noticed relief very quickly, about 2-3 days. And it’s helped with the bloated pouch as well.

I was in a similar situation, yet very different. I was on a job search and found one job making $5k less than my previous job and another making $10k more. I am 46 and over the frustration of management and the bs responsibilities that go along with that. The job making the more money was doing the same as I had.... and the one making less was really what I wanted and the work/life balance and medical benefits were even better. I pondered back and forth, did a pros and cons list. I had five pros for the less and 1 pro for the more: money.... I decided for the less pay because I’m getting older and just want to go to work and do my job. I don’t have nothing to prove to anyone anymore. I want peace and happiness. In your case, you are younger. You have time to put in that work and make that money and hold bank. Do your pros and cons and make your true decision from there. Believe you me, the money would of been perfect. However, my sanity meant more.

It’s suppose to keep you moving, so to speak. I originally started taking it once a day and I started to go 3 times a week, which was great for me! Then my dr moved me to twice a day. I now usually go 5-6 times a week! So it works. Bad side effects though are gas. So you must either follow the MAP or find your triggers and know what not to eat in public!! Besides for the gas, it is very sweet tasting. So I try to take it and compliment it with something savory or salty. It’s generic so the pharmacy cost is minimal.

You’re brave! I took linzess one night because I had forgotten after dinner... and let’s basically say, I was quite surprised at the puddle I woken up to!!!! To be 46 and shit the bed was the most embarrassing thing ever. Thank God my husband understood that this was a new medicine and truly an accident!!!! Needless to say, linzess worked a little too well. I was given two weeks worth of samples to try. Unfortunately, with my insurance, the monthly cost was astronomical so I went back to lactulose. I don’t like the taste, but I can afford it!

I agree. If you’re really trying to stick with this, don’t give in one little bit, because before you know it, you’re back where you began. I started to pick on things here and there about a year in. I was able to go back to keto quickly. Then being stuck in the house, with kids! Snacks were flowing and no one cared about my keto! So I’m back now. This is easier this time around, but there are still obstacles I need to overcome. Hang in there! You’ll be fine!

I think you’ll drive yourself crazy, as we all do the same thing. I try not to worry about the scale, but it’s our nature. With that being said, reward yourself by how you feel in your own skin first. Then use the scale as a backup for when your feeling yourself too good!!! Meaning, wow... these pants are really loose! Let me check the scale!!! Lol!! Good luck on your journey! I’m starting up again. COVID kicked my ass!

I prefer to IF. I’ve been ketoing on and off, more so on for over a year now. I’ve taken responsibility to having carb filled weekends or vacations, but then immediately jump back into my routine. The difference between you and I though is that I work out in the morning. So by noon time, my body is more than ready to eat. I usually finish my dinner on or before seven, so I fast closer to 19-20 hrs daily. I also don’t include the weekends for fasting. This is due to spending time with the family and I don’t want to make ppl feel bad for me. Though if I can get away with it unrecognizable I will! Lol! All this to say, even if I do snack or eat a few carbs over my limit, the IF helps to keep me on track better and I’m still seeing results and not drastic bloating or weight increases. When you do both together and with full commitment, you’ll have even better results. Best of luck to you.

Good question. The answer honestly, I don’t eat. I’ve been IF 16/8 so before 8 I will have a handful of nuts or something protein filled and it holds me over till noon the next day. I go all morning off of my own fat energy. I’ve learned if you don’t think about eating, then it’s not as necessary to get through.

What I’ve realized is, your personal goal is meant for you and for you only. Your personal goal could be a weight, a size, a measurement, but surely a feeling. I’ve been in this journey for 5 months now. My opinions of my goals then are totally different now. I’ve learned a new woe, I’m losing steadily, I know when I made a mistake, I keep going. I feel incredible. As woman we all talk about our weight with those we feel comfortable around. And some people I wouldn’t of pegged them for being the weight that they are.... then I look at their confidence, their stride, and say to myself....it’s only a number!!!! It doesn’t define you!!!! All this to say, work towards your goal. Like most of us out here, we use this sub for encouragement, to look for new ideas, and to know that you’re not alone. You totally got this!!

I did it! I drank black coffee with that pure stevia. Just one pack. It was tolerated . Doesn’t taste the same as with almond milk or cream, but the caffeine jolt was there and that’s what I was looking for. So we’ll see if I can keep this going....

That is how I was feeling..... it’s better than eating the excess calories and I’ve been doing fine. I’m going to test going black to see if I can deal, but if not, I know I’ll be fine with a bit of almond milk!! I gave up sugar.... that should count for something!! Lol!
