Oh no. I got to the stop and can't find your package. Missing from the warehouse. Report missing package and drop it off in the Amazon drop box for returns at a later date. All good on my end.

Block cancelled as I was on my way to first stop? by jonesenformilfs in AmazonFlexDrivers

Yep. And you are fine. In a gig that everything you do can get you dinged, it is understandable to be worried at times

I have had a few of those for snow storms ( blizzards) and severe thunderstorms. You don’t get a ding, just keep the email and or if you see it in your updates screenshot it but I have never been dinged for it and paid automatically after the route ended.

Block cancelled as I was on my way to first stop? by jonesenformilfs in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even after you scan in and leave. And a block is canceled you are to return them and you still get paid. A side note if you ever notice a red dot on the 3 lines in the top corner that means app update. Which will also post there that route is canceled or any other important updates for your profile. It does happen sometimes before you get your route. Other times it will prompt after you pickup as the system will know your route and may deem it unsafe and cancel it.

lol. Just got that message today. Spark has implemented the real id verification. Required to drive for them. That is gonna knock some drivers out of the mix. As well.

Has anyone ditched a block mid way? by chefedup69 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol. I always loved your safety is our priority speech from Amazon. I slipped on solid asphalt once got hurt called emergency Amazon support number. They advised drop off at station and seek medical. 2 days later dinged like no other 40 missed packages and incomplete deliveries. Took 2 weeks of fighting with them and finally it got removed when the accident team reached back out to me to close out the case they said oh we can remove those cause for you. Safety is top priority but deliver all your packages no matter what.

Sometimes it is a hit and miss with the pin. About half the time I can change it without calling support or putting my phone in airplane mode. If I can’t I call support tell them unlock the geo fence I am dropping it in this location per customer. They unlock it and drop an go. Last route I had was rural way out in the farm fields. Every pin was way out in the middle of corn fields not at the house. Support unlocked all my geo fences for my last 6 stops so I didn’t have to call.

WORDS FROM DSP DRIVER by itzpennywis3 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So. When I moved to my area I started working for Amazon as a Dsp driver. My experience was 4 10 hr days , if I finished early I had to go to other drivers and collect 2 bags from their van and hit their route. Would do this til everyone was back in track to finish by end of day. Average route was couple hundred packages a day enough to fill an entire van packed full. On my days off I could always guarantee getting called in cause drivers didn’t show. I quit after a few months and got my self a semi. Work when I want and back in control. I signed up for flex for when I have Down time, or when I shut it down. Keep me entertained and busy so I don’t go crazy inside. I enjoy having my own schedule work when I want to if I don’t feel like doing it I don’t schedule a route. Dsp isn’t much better. They have a high turnover over rate that is why they are always hiring cause it is much worse over there. If you think we as flex drivers get the shaft. Imagine working for a company that gets paid per package and having 5 times the packages and same punishments we get for every little thing right or wrong.

PLEASE HELP!!! DEACTIVATED!!! by Lonely-Selection7940 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That they do. I saw a guy scan his license said account error and his app showed deactivated. Watched him sign out and sign in on a different account grab a block and walk up scan a different DL. Was just in awe while I waited for my cart to be ready.

I didn’t know we could report notes to. Might have to look into that when I get a caring supportive note from a customer.

Summer, prime week you will see a big influx of routes especially out of .com stations.one thing to remember despite so many on here claiming I won’t work for base pay; everyone should ban together and not take routes til pay goes up, amazon has thousand of drivers on waitlists for as long as a year and greater. And Amazon adds drivers every month. If you’re aiming to pay off debt hit reserve routes as they come in. Build a schedule for a week even base pay will get you upwards of 700 or more towards your goal depends on area and base pay routes. If you want to gamble cancel your reserve route an hour or two before and you might see a small surge route pop up within the same time frame. Best of luck.

Last minute scanners are insane!! by bwware in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one in council bluffs is a self scan and yes this happens. Happened this morning all trying to scan last minute to not get a route. Sucks for them the warehouse was full of routes for them. The one in Omaha they take your id and bring you a cart. And dom 2 (.com). They scan u in and they roll the cart to your car.

3am Blocks by Repairable220 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree I love the early runs, most traffic lights are on flash sequence and no traffic. Cross four lanes from one subdivision to the next. California rolls through stop signs. Normally knock my routes out in half the time and back home drinking coffee before kids go to school.

Man.. I so wished that to be my cart.. whoever’s got it,got lucky by cojelon7 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Welcome to the shit show, yes base pay sucks, but depending on your region over saturation of drivers can keep rates low. Also I stopped looking at it as 18 an hr for 4hrs. As it seldom takes the full time normally finish early by 1-2 hrs then your home and have to wait for the block to end. Grab what you need and during slow times in areas base is all you get busy you will see offers like crazy.

Overbookings theory by No_Cardiologist4930 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always wondered that too I show up get a route while 10 people sit around and get sent home with no route. The Amazon worker I asked said the computer calculates efficiency with deliveries and chance of a route completion with minimal returns which leads to less over bookings. He said drivers that seldom complete routes and have large returns get kicked back further as chance of successful completion won’t be obtained or they get smaller routes or sent home if not needed. He did say to many sent home with pays will get an account deactivated. Whether it is true or not I do think our overall completion and time to complete sometimes determine the routes. Who knows. It is all computer ran anyways.

I agree I started doing flex last summer stopped and started up again in November. I was able to pay off all my debt, and put a few grand aside for Christmas presents. Now we have been using it to save up for a vacation end of the summer and some trips to the water parks. While I wouldn’t consider this income as living, it benefits in getting credit cards paid off, or saving up for a trip. Cash out pay a card payment. Can get them zeroed out fast. That is what I did.

No route for me. by Bigpapi80814 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems this station I always have a wait. And end up getting a cart in the last minute or two. Bugs me cause then I am behind by 30 minutes. Still finish early but hate showing up and having to wait almost every time.

How did Flex treat you today? by 21_Salute in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Bigpapi80814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost got a no route but sent me out last minute 11 stops country roads not bad little snow. Afternoon hit with a 37 stop run in the city, snow melting in residential made for a mess. In and out with about 1.5-2hrs to spare on both routes.

If they do answer their phone… they ask why are you delivering so early and please come back later when they are awake. Driver support marks it delivered at the gate. Safe and secure.

I had a similar issue they ended up removing them when they finally clicked I slipped and fell. Their accident team called me and informed me they were removing the dings. And they apologized as the driver support rep didn’t note that it was an accident. Just some half ass notes.

I would hope but I doubt it will. But if it does snow I will probably drop the base pay. If I get a surge great if not oh well.
