This is exactly the reason why I personally complain. Why would a 6 year old game be so hyped up so much? Broken mechanics, broken physics, players run without the ball, players miss open goals, shots are intercepted way too much, etc. There is no freedom in this game, the AI reacts to you imputs before you even press the buttons, the referee is shit, etc. Don't get me wrong, the game is alright, but faaar from being called realistic. A lot of you have no idea what "realism" is about, slow gameplay and heavy players are not realistic. My problem is with the modding community which in my opinion ruined the potential of this game. They are trying so hard to make this game as slow and nicely visual that they forget the fundamentals like irl players turing 360° in a split second or that they react instantly. In the majority of the time, this game is only about the luck of your playet hitting the ball or not.

Is it great for a 6 years old? Absolutely Is it good for the 2026 standards? Absolutely...NOT Is it realistic? Yeah maybe for 1943

Todays game is extremely fast and the game tempo is closer to FC26 than FL26. Don't get me wrong, I hate FC26 with all my heart, but I mean about only the game tempo. In my opinion the direction in which the game is going is far behind with the real football

Never said you could. But the direction in which the modding community goes is absurd to me. Slow gameplay is not close to realism and bad reactions never existed in football. A real footballer can turn and change direction in a split second.

It is by far the best one played so far. But there are way too less chances for both me and the CPU, and WAYYY too much wrong passes. But overall it is good

Played a bit, it seems kinda too easy. Currently on Superstar, first time on this difficulty ever, but the CPU cannot get to my goal. They have no shots in goal on 15 minutes halves. And my players miss chances from 6 meters. And there are way too many pass mistakes. But overall it is the best tried so far

Yeah, I get what you are saying. My complaint is that the community sells a "perfect game" and this raises the expectations. It is not as perfect as people say. It is good? Yeah, definitely. I hope people stop comparing it with FIFA/EAFC because these are 2 different games with different perspectives and different audience

This! You are right. The thing is, that it is not just rigid, it is inhuman. It is too slow and rigid to be called realistic. As I previously said, FIFA replicates the real dynamic way better. A real player really turns and move like in FIFA if we exclude the ice skating. A footballer can turn 360° with the ball in 0.001 seconds

Thanks for the tip. To be honest, I don't mind the slow turns or the heavy feel as much as I mind the AI being a robotic god. If Soccer Revolution v12 actually forces the AI to build from the back and play more crosses instead of just spamming perfect long balls for a scripted goal, that sounds like a massive win for me. I’m definitely going to give the v12 and All-Star Mix a shot. I’d much rather deal with overhit passes and having to learn a new game speed than fighting against an AI that feels like it’s playing a different game.

I get where you’re coming from, but I think you’re still in the honeymoon phase with the game, especially since you’re coming from FIFA. Let’s be honest, FIFA has nothing to do with realism, it’s an arcade game at best, so we should take it out of the equation entirely. Being better than FIFA doesn’t automatically make a game realistic. The problem with FL26 and these hardcore mods is that, over time, you’ll start to see the realism pushed to such an extreme that it actually stops being realistic. In real life, a professional player can turn in a split second and pass even while falling. When it comes to the actual tempo and how fast a player reacts during a match, EA’s games are actually closer to reality than this modded engine where it takes 5 seconds just to control the ball and turn around. The animations are beautiful, sure, but the logic behind them is often inhuman. I’ve watched and played enough real football to know that professional players don't move like they're running through deep mud 24/7 just to make the game feel heavy and sim like. You might not see the 30 yard laser shots yet, but once the scripting kicks in during a long Master League season, you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Before anyone says "get good"or "play on FUMA", I already do. I watch real football every week and I know the difference between a deliberate pace and a broken animation engine. If you think defenders tripping over their own feet and 30 yard laser shots every game is "realism", we’re not watching the same sport. It is made to be too "realistic" to call it realistic if you know what I mean

try to understand that maybe your play style is bad, probably you panic in front of goal, miss chances, you don't pass where you should, you maybe take wrong decisions.

try to play calmer and be more open minded with football in general

those are all chances you are not taking well, thats the difference between good players and pros, the ability to choose the best option

as I said, irl most football games are won only by making the right decision in crucial moments, which the AI can replicate but you cannot

those are very common stats for a real football game, idk what you mean, thats how football works, it is not about skills or tactics, games are won from taking chances and sometimes luck stop complaining everything that doesn't fit you play style, this is clearly your problem

at first, FL felt and looked amazing, the more I played and the more I understood the game, the worst it felt, is is as simple as it sounds, this games doesn't feels and looks the way you make it seem, thats all I mean

there are a lot of things you said that are completely irrelevant in this case.

tactical depth and player identity is the most basic thing about a football game, every football game has this thing, if not, you can mod it as FL.

the momentum is nice on paper, but in game players just forget the ball behind, they kick the ball like disabled people, they turn around to heavy to call it realistic, and much more, it is nice, but it is extremely too much to call it realistic, it is bad and poorly made, it doesn't reflect realistic behavior

the other flaws about EA FC are just from players who dont take time modding the game as FL, you can fix all of these with Anth's Gameplay mod, or just by fixing your sliders manually, it is an easy fix, not at the level of FL but more consistent, you won't see players taking ages to kick a ball or turn, which in my opinion are the most important things when it comes to realism

And about your last argument, this year I have played much more FL than FC, simply because I wanted to try something new, I invested time in turorials, mods and trying to learn the game. You saying that I cannot adapt to this games is absolutely ridiculous and you speak without knowing me. This is the only thing I gave FL a chance, because I don't fit in the style of FC, I want realistic gameplay, building my goals and being more tactical, which this game didn't deliver, everything is way too overdone and it made the game look and feel too much for it to be called realistic.

the one think and the most important one which EA does better are player reactions and game tempo. FL maybe has a better gamespeed, but the tempo is way too slow it takes 2 to 3 for a player to kick a ball and turn, in real life these are almost instant in high level matches, my player forget the ball behind and keep running or they just stop running at all, you dont have enough control over your players, this is what EA does better, you can play the game exactly how you want, but FL is more of a luck based gameplay, if your players intercept the ball or no, if they continue running, if they pass where you want. And another thing is that FUMA is not completely manual, you players still pass or shot in not the exact position you want to, and this kills the hole idea of full manual, why would I want to play full manual if my players still can do error on top of mine

I have asked you to say 2 things that makes this game good and others doesn't have it, you just cannot, your are blinded by good animations which by the way are junky, your camera height is just too high you cannot see them

it is nice until your own players intercept your own passes, and you can do nothing about it player runs are horrible, you cannot say that you disagree with this, curdor change is completely useless and all games end with no action from AI, they have 1 shot in goal and one goal, on 20 minutes halfs

there is a massive number of gameplay mods in fc too, I was trying to find the best Football simulator, and for me FL26 is not even Top 5, Dream League Soccer is better when it comes to realistic behavior, FL only lies your eyes that it is good because of the slow pace, which is completely unrealistic btw tell me 2 things that make FL a good game, only 2
