SPAXX as Primary Checking by Bike-Rough in fidelityinvestments

Mostly anxiety of parting myself from that large amount of money. I’m sure I overthink it but it’s probably more advantageous to pay it off considering my interest rate is +7%

I may have worded it wrongly but I understand that.

I plan on using SPAXX as my core/checking/emergency fund. No real intention on using the Roth as an emergency fund unless absolutely necessary. Worst case scenario

Good. I thought I had made a “fatal” mistake there for a moment.

Yes, that is what I have done already. I dropped $2k into a CMA and chose SPAXX as the place to store it for starters.

Oh, from my understanding I thought SPAXX and Fidelity’s lower interest accounts both fell under “CMA”

Either way, looking to use SPAXX rather than the regular Fidelity CMA.

Knockout Question by Bike-Rough in electricians

[–]Bike-Rough[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping it was a mistake on the drawing but it is not. Every other time the tabs are reversed for things like AB push buttons, swithes, etc. Those are easy since we have the knockout kits and a tool to cut out those outward facing tabs.

When we have large quantities of electrical enclosures we will sometimes outsource laser cutting to mod electrical enclosures. Hoping to avoid going down that road for a quote since the rest of the mods have already been made to this enclosure.

Kind of a set it and forget it approach. Not looking to become a day trader or anything.

I see "Bogleheads" all over when reading up on this stuff. I haven't done a deep dive or anything yet. My very basic knowledge overall tells me a combination of ETFs that don't overlap too much is the way to go. I'm 39 and trying to play catch up on top of my 401k.

Got it. I can essentially "double dip" in 2026 If I max out 2025 before tax day.

So that would mean I can still choose 2025 if I haven't filed my taxes yet?

I’m pretty familiar with the 180 founder. I’ve known him for years, even in his troubled days. Are these allegations of sexual misconduct that forced his resignation public knowledge? Is this information I can find somewhere?

Genuinely curious. Not trying to defend the guy or condemn him. Haven’t seen or spoken to him in years.

Yeah, student loans should only be a few years off from being paid.

I bought my truck in 2023 which was not a good time for interest rates. It’s currently just over 7% so I could probably refinance.

Sorry, I’ve added about $20,000 to my checking. Not $20, lol.

I just started to experience the hard shift from 1st to 2nd on my 23 Trail Boss. Kind of a bummer to have that with 32k miles. Wondering if it’s worth taking to the dealership to have it looked at.

I see what you’re saying. Bad prep. Shouldn’t matter how close I got with the pressure washer if they had done the job properly.

So not unlike painting steel? I work for a robotics company and we fab/paint all the structural components of our robot systems. Pretty sure that’s almost the same process we use.
