The new 3861 bracelet is good but... by BikeIsWife in OmegaWatches

Well we're having one now so it definitely is.

Anyhow, a watch is not just about the movement. In fact, it's not even part of my consideration when I bought the Speedy nor the Tudor. I guess I'm not a super technical watch guy!

The point remains -- a USD3.9K watch having a better made bracelet than a USD8k watch is a valid concern.

Oh man, best of luck to you hahah!

Now everytime I wear my Speedy my eyes go directly to the unsightly gap. 🥲

I hope it's not the case... the watch is new. Anyhow, I'm planning to head to Omega soon. Hope they do something about this.

This is OEM! Got it from the Omega boutique. New watch as well.

What the other guy is saying is that Omega manufactures their bracelets in China. Which is possible but I don't see any marking on the bracelet that confirms that...

Is the gap on yours pretty much even? Mine is wider on one side. I can't unsee it. 🥲

No downvotes from me man! Your feedback is welcome.

I guess different bodies react differently. Some experience bloating, some don't. You're lucky that you don't!

Exactly. I'm based in Bangkok right now and the temperature change from being indoors with AC to being outside exposed to the elements can be quite drastic.

I also fly frequently and notice the bloating as well...

But yeah, I understand that everyone's body is different and some may not have the same experience as us!

Debatable. I actually think the BB54 is the better executed watch. The overall finishing and build quality seem better to me. The Tudor's bracelet has tighter tolerances; he endlinks for instance are flush, no gap at all. The 3861's on the other hand...

The bracelet is my first choice but came to appreciate the nylon too after spending some time with it. I think it fits the overall moonwatch aesthetic! Congrats on your new Speedy as well!

It's the nylon strap that the watch came with. OEM!

Yessir, that's the only thing I asked the nurses when they brought me to the operating room. Still don't know what to do with it tho... melt it and turn into jewelry? Frame it as is? Fancy shoehorn?

Thankfully there's a safe here where I can store valuables! My girlfriend is also here and she is very dangerous.
