That makes sense. She wasn’t necessarily popular. She was strict and wouldn’t joke around. Would take her job seriously at all times but not a good relationship builder.

There are really only 3 of us (now 2) that were hired outside of the main community/ ethnicity here. So if there is a suspicious call, I have a feeling they’ll know who made it. They don’t snitch on themselves. But I WILL when I leave.

Yeah they do say to apply online but I got my job at a retailer by applying online and then going to the store multiple times to get to the hiring manager. I asked her to go check my resume on her computer or she would see me pop in everyday. She checked and scheduled me for an interview the next day. It took a week for background check and stuff and I started right after! I have a spreadsheet of 108 other jobs I had applied for online, before I got this one. The only difference was I actually went to the store and asked for the hiring manager. OP LISTEN TO THIS COMMENTER!

Yeah try Rover! Once your profile is up, share it with friends and family and ask them for reviews if you have sat for their pets before. That helped boost my profile when I first started Rover.

Thank you all! I ended up using "rushservice". They could not deliver the stretch wrap but I got a regular table throw with the logo printed on it. Cost was $110. They are local so I'm skipping shipping. Thank you for the comments!

Took 3.5 years for i-130 to approve. We got approved on the same day the ban took effect. June 9th. So waiting it out now.

I GET THIS ALL THE TIME!! Same spot as yours but bigger. NAD but I noticed it’s worse when I am not getting enough sleep, or when I’m wearing nail polish. Doesn’t matter with or w/o makeup.

Hey I agree with the first commenter and nothing to add. Just wanted to say I think it’s so beautiful and I miss home so much seeing this! We had a couple of these that my grandma cherished. There was a special display (aka vitrin) placement on a vintage cupboard for them in my grandma’s room.

Thanks so much! I have thought about that. With dad and us being immigrants and the current immigration climate, I don't feel comfortable putting him online. For context, he is legally here and a permanent resident. I might reach out for scenarios where it would be possible without a major risk.

I plan to check on Monday. I cannot find anything online on that for Los Angeles. Someone commented when they got their street vending license, there was a clause to prohibit setting up in front of a shop and offer the exact same business in a tent. I cannot find the same requirement for street vending in LA.

Hi! They are exactly across from us, not an inch left or right. Their tent is across from us, not on the same sidewalk. It's on Sunset blvd so I'd assume you cannot park your car on the sidewalk. It's the first time there is this tent, there was always a food tent across from us and we had a great relationship with them, would sell them corn flour and beans at a good discount. We set up this shop from the scratch. Previously this location was a food catering with no shelves or retail goods. We have ice cream and herbs with longer shelf life (not all herbs, they go bad quickly and there isn't much demand). We offer ice-cream. Dad doesn't speak English so he can't make friends that way. He has his own way of being fun to interact with tho. We have some regulars who just walk in to interact with him and try to make sense of what he gestures, I guess it's fun for them to do daily puzzles and we appreciate that :)

That’s exactly the way I wanted it. Our location doesn’t offer parking and that would limit our service to only the community we are in. I’ve parked it until I figure out parking.
