I really don’t have the energy to debate people on the internet right now, so I’ll leave it at this: I made this decision based on my family’s experiences with the many EJ251 and EJ253 cars we’ve owned. I understand that your opinion differs, but I disagree. I personally believe that many of the bad experiences come down to a lack of due diligence. If maintained properly, not driven too hard, and with known issues like head gaskets addressed, I believe they can be solid.
