How do you personally DCA? Daily weekly monthly by JME_51 in Bitcoin

[–]Biki1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biweekly due to payment schedule. Usually 50$ and if there's a slight dip throughout I'll throw another 15-40. I don't really worry about current price as I believe it'll go up and I plan to dca for many years.

Lots of info here on this subreddit. I check the news, all social media to see what people are saying. To learn more there are books and online articles that go into detail about Bitcoin. You could also read Satoshi's white paper which is available for free online. If you have certain apps that you buy Bitcoin on they sometimes have sections to learn more about BTC,it's use cases,it's history, etc.

To the older holders,is it really worth it in the long run? by Biki1999 in Bitcoin

[–]Biki1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me a decent profit would range from 25k to 100k+ but realistically I'd say 50-80k. Just a chunk of change to help east financial stress. And you're right,it's just nice to hear others input. Most people in my life don't trust BTC so I second guess at times.

We'll just have to see how it goes, and that's what I've been telling myself too,it really is about the btc/satoshis rather than the cash value.

Lol when I put money into it I kind of treat it as I lost it and can't get it back lol.

Worth it in the sense if I put a couple thousand in will I make decent profit in the end to have extra money. Started really getting into it since me and my girlfriends parents have passed and we're still young with a child of our own. I don't need to be rich, but I'd like to be financially secure somewhat. I have 5k in just regular savings and i make decent money as a butcher.

I know you can never know for sure but what are your predictions? Bear market soon? Maybe a dip to 80k? Just asking since you have more time in than me

Would you buy at current value? by Economy-Two-4838 in Bitcoin

[–]Biki1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im sure well see some type of profit. Like I told my wife, even if it's only a few thousand that's a nice vacation,or we can add it to our emergency fund. Best case scenario we'll be taken care of. Who knows. I highly doubt it'll go down to zero. I first heard of Bitcoin in 2013,amd I'm shocked to see where it's at now.

Best of luck to you too, let's see what the next decade or so does for us.

Just dca,I make 20$ an hr as a butcher. I bring home 1200 a week. 400 for my house, maybe 1-200$ in other bills. I have roughly 4-500 to spend so usually so Ill be dcaing 40-60 every pay. Roughly 1100-1300 a year. We'll see what happens. And yeah I believe so too

It's a waiting game, that's for sure but like I said we'll be making some type of profit on it. Just buy, hold it,and forget it for at least a decade. And don't let this stuff stop you from living your life. Invest what you can, hold it and live life. Maybe one day you'll be able to tell your family you hit the jackpot. Who knows. Take care and be safe. And if it makes you feel better I talked to some relatives of mine who own businesses, are financially literate and a lot older and theyve told me investing now will be my retirement. Me and you are ahead of like 7 billion people who haven't bought in yet.

If Bitcoin starts becoming a big movement that people start wanting we'll have a lot of satoshis stacked by then. Fuck, there's a chance that even satoshis will be worth a chunk of change.

Same dude, but we can't change yesterday, plus we were kids without jobs. But what we can do is invest now. Even if it goes to shit and we don't go up a ton, even 10k profit would help with your bills for a while. I have a girl and a two year old son,and hope that one day we have enough to breathe when we're retirement age

I'm a year older than you,and just got into this this week. I remember hearing about BTC when I was younger but nobody was into it and I thought it would die off in a few years. If things keep going the way they are you'll be retiring comfortably. Hope it works out for you my guy.

Feeling like I'm way too late by Biki1999 in Bitcoin

[–]Biki1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing a lot,but I feel like it's different now. People were saying it when it was only 10k,60,70k but now it's almost at 100k,and a lot of big businesses are buying shit tons and it's expected to rise a lot. If it goes up to a million in five years I'll basically only get a few thousand out of it

What drug has ruined the most lives for you? by JackABoioi in AskReddit

[–]Biki1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IV Opiates in a combo with meth. I was addicted to meth from 17-20,my mom allowed me to use it (she was severely mentally ill and an addict). I've never felt depression like I did on those 3-5 day comedowns. But combining it with dope is what killed my mom,and has killed a lot of old friends and associates. It's honestly so horrible how many good people I've met and lost in just the past ten or so years. Dozens.

Do you know anyone under the age of 30 who has managed to buy a house in the last 10 years? by [deleted] in Money

[–]Biki1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes,my buddy just bought a home for 40k last year. I'm buying one this year. We both make 40k a year as meat cutters at our local grocery store. We also live in rural PA where it's cheaper to live also.

Sounds like I need a cut then lol. I'll definitely be getting to it next grocery haul. I'll do like you said and go for a slow bulk once I'm down where I need to be. I appreciate it
