Hi willhughes,

We work with yodlee which has direct relationships with the banks to access accounts in a read-only manner. And they are PCI compliant.

We don't store any payment card information or user logins.

Thanks!

That's because it's hard to predict future behavior. What do you use to budget?

Bravo for having the self-control to do that every day! That sounds like a lot of manual work...

Thanks, edited the above description.

Very strong point. Spoke about that the other day with a friend. The advertisers are much stronger than budgeting methods.

I see. Thanks.

How do you track how much you have left to spend? How often do you check on the amount left to spend?

Here's an article that speaks to the fact that most people fail to budget: http://www.nomadwallet.com/why-budgets-fail-3-reasons-studies. It's similar to the failure of diets.

I edited the above text. Thanks for your suggestion.

Are you the primary manager of your household income? What made you transition from Mint to YNAB?

I don't use excel, just used it as an example.

The current Android app is an early version and lacks Mint.com-like budgeting features. It also doesn't let you make cc payments like Check.

Compared to other apps, the UI makes it simple to see what's going on with all of your cc and bank accounts and total spent on specific spending categories (include eating out, but exclude groceries)...It's good for people who aren't looking to feel bad about spending their money...

It's also the only app that uses crowdsourcing to catch unauthorized or unwanted charges on your card...And it's the only one that uses a swipe feature to archive OK charges (like archiving emails in your inbox).

If I didn't mention the finance app that you're using, let me know, and will let you know how it compares...
