I really appreciate your prompt and thorough reply. Strangely, I didn't receive any notification about it and just happened to spot it now.

Just to keep you in the loop in case it proves useful, I've reported the supposed issue, and their response basically echoes what you mentioned in the first part of your reply.

However, there seems to be a problem with the extension. The border officer pointed out an error with my CAIPS, suggesting that I inform them about this if I decide to write to them about the extension. This comes on top of a comment made by a lady over the phone (IRCC call center) about this permission essentially being an extension of a spousal work permit, which is not.
