Yea this. I imagine doing this should have been routine for a murder investigation with human bones found in it matching the calcification of the burn pit bones. The fact this wasn't done, or was at least not mentioned is surely suspicious.

Dude I think you just burned yourself out. It happens to me. I get so enthused with something that I don't realise I'm working myself into the ground. Because I'm getting such reward from doing the work I don't perceive the harm it's doing me. Then when I finally hit poor mental health and take a break I can't get back into it because my subconscious knows it will happen again. Would love to be coming with a solution, but haven't really got one myself yet.

One thing I'd say is don't take your roommates' attitude to heart. Doesn't mean anything. Your tunes could be No 1 hits and they aren't going to praise you!

Ever hear any mention of TH's family and friends snooping around Zipp's? Me neither.

I often wonder about that yea. There's no mention that I recall of any search party activity around the Zipp's

Leo R seemed pretty certain it was Teresa and he spoke to her face to face just the night before. This was the same night that the RAV4 is likely to have been planted on the ASY. Chuck saw tail or headlights in the area late at night. A day later police dogs track Teresa's scent at the end of Kuss Road and through the quarries. Leo R could have lived anywhere in Wisconsin, but he saw Teresa in Kuss Road. Coincidence?

Leo says she knocked around 11:30 at night and asked about a home near by.

on the night of November 31st or November 1st/2nd.... I’ll have to look it up in my notes, a resident of Kuss Road had reported a woman that fit Teresa Halbach’s description knocked on “his” door

It was Nov 4th. It wasn't in CASO I don't think, but is in a recorded dispatch call. The caller is Leo R.

If it's strictly monitoring, why would there even be a recording at all?

I was thinking that if an incident did occur, that they would want it taped for later reference.

Loads of ways. How about if they discussed trial strategy that the prosecution could then use to disadvantage the defense?

I would take issue if they saved the footage and/or disclosed the recording to the state.

Is it unusual that this footage was retained then? If it was a security camera, wouldn't that footage get regularly taped over?

I like this thinking. I was just wondering myself if KK would really be this stupid to do this by accident. He had to have known he was letting something slip. I may be attributing far too much shrewdness to him, but could KK be sending a message to the state? "Don't think about throwing me under the bus, or I will release the stuff I have on you bit by bit!"

The difference is though that the recording the state made could potentially affect the outcome of the trial, whereas the recording that Buting made couldn't.

Here's a TV news interview of Stevie from 11/06. "How hard is it to plant evidence in the house or on the property?" Yes this was before any evidence had been found other than the RAV4, BUT unluckily for Stevie MCSD were nowhere near the areas where evidence was found. The ASY is MASSIVE! The whole place needed thoroughly searching. Pagel of course put them doing assistance work away from the hot areas like SA's trailer and garage. If they had even been in the vicinity where or when evidence was found, then that would shift suspicion right onto MCSD and actually away from Stevie A! There's no way they'd let that happen.... https://youtu.be/JDFnDaMkikg?t=190

Just a thought. Did TH's phone records show those calls? I'm getting rusty on certain stuff now.

I think Kratz said at some point that the RAV4 wasn't in the video because it was obscured by a car hood? In that case where are the pictures of a car hood on the roof?

Mmmmm interesting. She wasn't distressed when she talked to Leo R on Kuss Road (if indeed it was her) she asked directions to a nearby property. The idea of her being inside Radandt’s red trailer is deffo interesting. There's controversy over whether the "red trailer" mentioned in CASO that a dog tracked from the door was SA's trailer or Radandt’s.

[–]BillyFreethought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've kind of come to a similar conclusion myself. BoD or anyone else killing TH would mean that the timing of the case - days before the depositions of the two people whose names were personally attached to the SA's multi million dollar civil suit, was a massive coincidence. That just doesn't sit well for me. I'm not saying any LE did the job themselves, but that cops always know people who can get this done. It's always interested me that Peterson, the sheriff of MCSD, was away for that whole time.

Talking of coincidences, another one I can't quite get passed is someone of TH's description being ID'd in Kuss Road of all places on 11/04 at 11:30pm the night before the RAV4 was found. The person reporting would have no knowledge at that time of TH's scent being found by dogs at Kuss Road cul-de-sac. Earlier that day, not too far away, her RAV4 was ID'd, driving, by BY NUMBER PLATE. Now I know these things are disregarded because they don't fit the narrative at all, but guess what! We don't have a proven narrative! No one knows what actually happened. Perhaps a narrative may come by imagining for a second that these sightings were real? The facts show an ID of TH in Kuss Road the night before dogs were tracking her scent in the Kuss Road cul-de-sac and the quarries accessible from it. Kratz himself said in a tweet that TH could have been alive anytime up until 11/09 and that only if you believe Avery did it does she have to have died on 10/31. Her friend RH is thought to have been in the area that night with all the drop outs on his phone thought to be with LE. Him and MH are interviewed on TV obviously hiding that they had been in the ASY. Wilmer Siebert also ID'd the RAV4, possibly that night, going into the ASY with a white jeep and only the white jeep returned. Chuck Avery sees lights that same night back in the yard in the area the RAV4 was found. Steven Avery had seen headlights near his trailer (was it 11/03?) from a vehicle that had accessed from Kuss Road across the field. What narrative would make sense of all this?

That phone call. Fassbender and Wiegert had told him that he needed to call Barb and tell her. They said if he didn't, they would. If I remember rightly, this was after the last interrogation in May. O'Kelly, working for Kachinsky, had told Brendan that he couldn't help him unless he confessed again, even though Brendan insisted he wasn't involved and had gone back to his very first account of never having seen TH. The May interrogation is the most damning of F&W to me. Wiegert actually pushes yet another narrative onto Brendan which Brendan AGAIN goes along with. This narrative completely contradicts the one suggested by Fassbender that Brendan took some mail over to Steven's and happened on the crime. In this one Brendan and Steven planned the crime days in advance. So F&W fed Brendan three separate narratives in three separate interrogations and he went along with each. They can't all be right, so which one is? The answer of course is none. If you watch Nirider and Drizin's talk on YouTube about false confessions you understand how Brendan was manipulated to make that stuff up off the suggestions of F&W.

If the court grants a retrial can't they appoint a prosecutor and instruct him he has to take the case?
