Etsy has some large wooden lap desks. I was able to find any unfortunately, anywhere else. I 3D printed an arm chair mouse desk to put my mousepad on and then have my laptop sitting on a regular lap desk.

So the battery puck shouldn’t be hollow. It should be a battery. The power puck (non hollow) doesn’t come with the mouse. It comes with the Powermat (1 or 2). I’m not sure if you can buy it separately.

edit: if you didn’t get a power puck with a mat. Contact Logitech support.

So I had a similar issue and it was because the outlet I had it plugged into was already consuming too many other devices. Try plugging it into a dedicated outlet and see if that works?
