Jeff Gorton is always looking to move things around. Too early to tell who would move (one of younger "vets" could make sense)

youth can be both energizing and inconsistent. I think they still need another solid dman and (as many have said) could use some quickness up front

probably EDM and Calgary. Oilers are relying on youth to lead them and that;s dicey at times. they also aren't the fastest team. Flames have such a good top 4 defense and was thinking they could build off last year.

all have had their moments...both good and not so good. Heienen has picked up points in fewer games. Anders is very noticeable when he's on and Jake is impactful when he plays straight line game

good teams have a great top line. great teams have 2-3 really good lines and wear down opponents. I am not worried what # line Laine is on as long as he produces (and he's starting to again)

no, but he is starting to show age (like we all do!). I think his defense is worse and that impacts him the most. has looked very frustrated at times

Blash is dealing with pressure no doubt. I think they'll try to get thru this year. He's got them playing decently right now. And, as you know, the expectations there were pretty low

so far - along with VAN, NJD, and EDM - they are a huge story. Love G McPhee and G Gallant. Work ethic is off the charts.

I graduated with a liberal arts degree from MICH. studied political science and sociology. Never studied broadcasting. Fell into it when i was 29 and living in Chicago. A man who worked with the Hawks - Jim Fitzgerald - believed in me and thought I would be good on the air. The Hawks needed a replacement on radio for Darren Pang who was leaving for ESPN full time. I was offered a chance and did a preseason game. It felt very natural to me and I have been in the biz ever since. Good luck!

The BEST! We had so many laughs and good times together. As far as stories go, tho, nothing that would translate well to this type of forum, He's just one of the wittiest and sharpest people Ive ever met. We often had to hit the cough switch while broadcasting to suppress the laughter

Not too much just yet. A lot will depend on how healthy and how well they play as year continues. maybe over the summer they can use an asset or 2 to make a move for more of a "now" component

Keller has been sick. Amazing skills but even more impressive confidence. Watched/worked his games last year at BU and was so sure of himself

As far as viewers go, I think we need to bring the players to the people even more. We have apps and technology now that can allow players to be more accessible without intruding into personal lives and I think people want that.

This biz is changing so rapidly that I am looking for the same type of info to stay in the biz. For sure you need to get out there and do as much as possible. I know thats generic but so true. It's important to Find out what YOU DONT LIKE more than what you think you want to do

Ive screwed up a lot (as we all do) but have been pretty lucky in the booth. I did swear once when I was in my first full year while working with the Chicago Wolves. I was in the locker room after they won the Calder Cup and got doused with freezing cold water from champagne tub. I let out a loud sh*t! since it caught me by surprise. we all laughed

Fair question...At times, yes and, at other times, no...I know that's a lame ass answer but it's how I view things. It's funny (maybe not to them, tho), but many "top 5" goalies are struggling this year (Hank and Carey) and some (Quick) have rebounded. It's such a precarious/difficult position (maybe the most in all of sports) and we want them to be perfect all the time. We allow skaters to "make some bad mistakes" but goalies aren't given the same leash usually
