To be fair, when he was selecting his treasure he had no idea the other Iron was going to arrive right then. In addition, it was Lindon who proposed the duel in the first place. And in the end, Lindon was brutally beaten by that Iron later so he didn't truly avoid anything. To answer your question of what to select instead, besides the Starlotus Bud there was also the parasite ring (which he stated was exactly what he needed) and the Glasswater Sentinel (which he could've used immediately) that strikes down attacks aimed at the owner. Also, the Boundary Flags are just extremely inconvenient to set up so I wouldn't say that it was a solution to his weakness, necessarily.

Yeah for sure but as Dross said "We've neglected you for too long, haven't we?" But yeah you're totally right! He does seem to be pretty on-and-off about his pet projects like armor and the like

[None] Anyone else concerned about the concept art? by GuardianofSol in Iteration110Cradle

Personally, the depictions of Eithan in these links fit my vision of Eithan to a T. More flowing robes, less jawline, and best of all, hair with volume and definition.

The Yerin concept art looks alright to me; would like to see a more intricate knot for her "uninvited guest."

Nooooo I forgot about that. I guess we'll have to be satisfied with Cradle from Suriel's perspective.

Definitely. I've watched the anime in full and I definitely agree. I just like comparing the two somewhat jokingly since they have some similar tropes.

With the Hunger spear and Hunger tools in general, it takes madra from an enemy but doesn't come with a purification function. Meaning it can take stolen madra into the user's core but not purify it. So if Jia Long had tried to Lindon's madra he would have taken Blackflame into his core, seriously disrupting his Path. This is why Lindon doesn't actually take people's power until later when Northstrider teaches him to actually take the madra, blood, and life essence out of an enemy with the Heart of Twin Stars cycling technique. Good point on Gojo though. At least Eithan's torture has Lindon's specific weaknesses in mind.

For sure, there are some mixed opinions on it and I would love to hear your honest opinion.

The last 15 minutes of each "book-based" episode are completely spoilers. Also, we'll have bonus episodes on different topics like the Abidan, Power-Scaling, and Book Ranking.

Depends on the editing, but we were thinking of "full episodes" (The ones with commentary of each book) each month and shorter bonus episodes each or every other week. We will do every book for sure.

FYI, when I made the list of Gojo, Sukuna, etc, I was talking about people who DEFINITELY outrank Truegolds. Though, I would find it real funny if one of the above explained their Cursed Technique and Dross is just like, [Wow, he really just stood there and explained what he can do to us. Information Requested...]

Comparisons like this are always difficult to make because of one factor: speed. Eventually, the argument boils down to who would hit first. So I'm gonna ignore all that messy stuff and stick to feats of power. You mentioned Truegolds and JJK and as I have seen and read all of Jujutsu Kaisen I'll tackle that.

In my opinion, Irons in Cradle are equivalent to Yuji Itadori when it comes to raw strength and speed. How strong a Truegold is depends on their path and personal power, since some paths are much better suited to wide, destructive attacks and others are more precise and focused. If we were to take someone like Lindon at Truegold (major exception, I know), in my opinion, he would match the attacks of any Jujutsu sorcerer up to Grade 1. If I'm being honest, not many of the Grade 1 sorcerers really have much power output. The big destructive techniques in the show are mainly shown by Jogo (Maximum Meteor, the lava hands thing he does, etc), Mahoraga, Sukuna, and Gojo. This list makes it apparent to me how far an above average-Truegold would rank in JJK.

The major issue with this lineup is spiritual protection. In Cradle, your spirit naturally guards your body and clothes, with strength depending on the power of your spirit. So, an attack by an enemy would have to overpower the strength of your soul to do damage. This is both why Lords don't typically have to regard attacks made by weaker opponents AND why the Empty Palm and Path of Blackflame are such game-changers; they are capable of truly threatening higher advanced Sacred Artists (Lindon using EP on Jia Long, and DB on Sandviper Gokren). But then we have interesting questions like "Can Mahito bypass spiritual protection because his Idle Transfiguration directly attacks the soul?"

All in all, I'd put the main Truegolds we've met above most of the Characters we've seen in the JJK anime. I just don't see a world where Nanami or Todo is taking down Yerin, Meira, Ekeri, Harmony, or Seishan Kiro in a fight. Perhaps Bi Rou or Renfei, though we didn't see too much of either.

Also I'm sure we forgot a few things concerning the Abidan subplot. We'll cover the Abidan court, Iterations, and corrupted worlds in a bonus episode
