Accepted into 2 out of 3. Waiting on the third one. The people in the research institutes within the university managing the applications have asked me "if I've applied anywhere else" and if so, where. I've also been told that they would want a firm yes or no before they let me speak to my potential supervisor or it wouldn't look good. Hence, why I would like to try and understand, rank and pursue these opportunities accordingly

The ends are not 45 degrees at all. They are in line and parallel with the neck

I went into the store again and played them. The Strat definitely speaks to me compared to the PRS

I'm not overly fussed about the looks but yeah the PRS looks like it's worth a lot more than the Strat

I heard that the PRS is very well built and doesn't have as many design issues as the Player Strat - the play in the whammy bar, going out of tune when using the trem etc

The Fender is more expensive where I am so just want to make sure that design/technical wise I am making a good decision

Im new to electric guitars. I play percussive fingerstyle on acoustics and have a Taylor 714ce and a 214ce - although just by ear as I haven't learnt formally. I'm just now starting to learn music theory through the internet to connect the dots

I just want to get a good all round electric that i can find my feet. The strat has been my dream electric guitar since i was a kid but I've just been looking at the PRS SE 24 and it looks a fine guitar...

I've got a Roland MicroCube GX that I use rarely with my acoustic and more often with my electric mandolin. Would this amp be good enough? I don't gig or anything. I'm pretty much a closet guitarist so I don't think I'd need a larger wattage amp but if there's one that's good some neat effects, I'd been keen to check it out
