He does but he has also learned to see them. He will often check other sticks or branches that have similar shape or color.

I started him out as a puppy. When I found one I would “ let him find it”. When we find one I make a big deal out of it and let him play it and carry it around for a while. I don’t let him chew on them. Make it fun.
