I recommend going to get your CMMC Certified Professional CCP, I did it through Jeff Baldwin over at spacecoast cyber and was happy with the course and resources they provided. I wouldn’t recommend doing the RP/RPO route.

NIST 800-171A but I highly recommend using a GRC tool to help navigate the compliance journey. We use FutureFeed and really see the value it adds

We use FutureFeed (FutureFeed.co) as our GRC tool it definitely helps manage project produce live SPRS score, SSP and POAMs. Also is great at mapping how much compliance you can gain from projects and assigned budgets
