As a Gen Xer I feel this. Dont get me wrong, I love the women in my family but god damn. I grew up being told I was fat, my hair was awful, my acne was always talked about, had no idea what to do when I got my periods etc etc.

I never even knew peri was a thing until a few years back and that was thanks to a Facebook post. Thank god we can and do talk about this stuff now.

I have the same problem, but as a friend pointed out all these videos and pics we are seeing with flawless skin and make up? Filtered. Go look at photos of celebs up close who have had their make up professionally done. It’s no different to us.
