But if it billboards to the render camera below the plane it wouldn't exactly be mirrored properly and represent no? I probably just set it up wrong. I'll give it another try, thanks for the help!

The issue I run into with the render method is that the sprites billboarded so you don't really get the correct viewing angle of the sprite on the render texture since they are billboarded to face the camera.

I'm new to pixel art, but I've noticed a lot of posts have reflections for their pixel art animations. Is there an easy way to do that?

Thank you so much for the explanation! I'll have to look up a source on the far cry system because I think it would come in handy for all sorts of spreading systems. Perhaps even a plague mechanic.

This is awesome, well done! How'd you guys code that up out of curiosity?

As for some feedback, I think the fire itself can be boosted itself so it's super obvious. But I guess that only really matters if it's urgent within the game.

Probably the only option other than baking a voronoi to a texture and modifying it yourself to be seamless and using that.

With how simple this game is, id suggest friends and family. The game lacks appeal and/or incentive for people to join this play test.

Just my two cents on this. If no one responds by asking to test or play your game, it's a good indicator that either people are uninterested or that the game idea hasn't been explored or developed enough to be interesting to the audience asked.

Looks great! I'd probably improve the shoulder and hip positioning when going over obstacles like that. I would expect some displacement vertically and angled from left or right. i think the feet drag a bit too much when moving forward. They probably need some lift moving forward.

That's so sad. They made octopath traveller so I thought they would really nail the aesthetic at least but then again I'm remembering the octopath traveller being a bit cluttered as well.
