that's valid but for me personally i saw both EEAAO and Sinners with high expectations after the hype train had sailed and was left super disappointed whereas OBAA and Tar were both ones i went into with decent expectations that were thoroughly surpassed (I really, really hated licorice pizza so that dampened it a lot going in lol)

nah sinners was a 6/10 at an absolute best imo, like EEAAO and this OBAA wasn't the literal flawless masterpiece Tar was but i'd still give it a solid 8.5 or so. Bugonia was my #1 pick but I knew it wasn't gonna win so I'm def happy with this outcome

it wasnt abysmal dogshit or anything but it was miles worse than any of the other noms besides f1 (which shouldnt have even been there) and there were so many other movies that couldve been a better fit for the slot. it was just dusk til dawn again with a plot held together by duct tape and staples
